The Pacific Crest Trail goes right through the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie Forest. Ideal for winter, the Mt. Baker Ski Area is 17 miles away, with record snow falls and terrific slopes and trails. Guests may see birds of all kind including bald eagles, small game, deer and maybe bears.

There is plenty of room for playing outdoors in the Mt. Baker Recreation Area which is a year-round playground. In summer, kids can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, freshwater fishing (lake and river), whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, nature viewing, tennis, and golf. In winter, there are ski slopes under an hour’s drive away with downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and sledding. There is a washer-dryer for clean up after a day’s adventuring.

Rustic cabin. Is there a better place to be than in the woods? Set in Mount Baker, in a national forest surrounded by wildlife and soundtracked by birdsong, this country cabin is ideal for families looking to get back to nature. With cozy nooks, wood panelled walls and cheerful bedrooms, some with pine forest views, it is a great retreat from the city. We love the deck, the views and the rustic charm.
