Perks for the Parents

This stunning villa with a pool on a cliff in Mykonos has views of the Aegean, vast bedrooms and luxurious finishes throughout. With a private outdoor gym plus an infinity pool and terraces ideal for sunbathing and dining, it has plenty to recommend it. Split into 2 villas, the main villa has 3 bedrooms and a large lounge, gym and pool terrace, while steps away, the guest house has 3 bedrooms and a terrace. There is plenty of space for a larger group or 2 families traveling together.

Why Kids Love it

Kids love the pool and the Sonos sound system by the pool bar, where they can play their favorite music and dance. Note some small issues for those traveling with younger children detailed in Things To Know. A crib and high chairs are available free of charge. The closest beach is Agio Stefanos, a 5-minute drive away. Boat trips, days on the beach, beach playgrounds, snorkeling and day trips to Mykonos Town are just a few local activities to appeal to the kids.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights in July/August, shorter minimum stay available outside these months on application. Reduced rates available for parties of up to 6 guests. A €1000 security deposit is due in cash on check in and is returned on check out. Daily cleaning service is provided and is included in the rate. Note that we would recommend the property primarily for those with non-crawling babies and children aged 6+ - there are no pool or stair gates and there are steep drops from the terraces, which have low walls. The sofas in the main living space are white. The main and guest house have safe boxes. There is a security alarm system. The pool is unheated.

About the Location

The villa is near Houlakia, 10 minutes from Mykonos town with Agio Stefanos the closest beach, 5 minutes’ drive away. Houlakia itself has a small, pretty and unique pebble beach. The property is secluded with stunning views of the Aegean sea. There are supermarkets and other shops in Mykonos, a short drive away. The closest airport is a 15-20 minute drive away and the island is accessible from Europe during the summer months, with flights via Athens in low season. It can also be reached by ferry from Athens. Car hire is recommended for this location.

Accommodation Details

This property has a main house and a guest house. The main house has a large back yard, a large sitting area, a dining room for 10 people and a fully equipped kitchen, plus bathroom with bathtub on the main floor. The upper floor has a large shaded veranda with a bar and sound system, a dinner table for up to 20, a sitting area and a large barbecue. This level also has an infinity pool. A ladder leads from this area to the ground floor, which has 3 bedrooms including a vast master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The veranda here has sea views plus an outdoor gym. A few metres from the main house, the guest house has 2 levels and sleeps up to 6 guests. It has a living area, kitchen and veranda with dining table and sea views on the upper level; there are 3 ensuite bedrooms on the lower level, 1 with a single bed and 2 with double bedrooms. Some bathrooms have bathtubs, while others have showers.

Style Notes

Modern and upmarket. With white marble floors, whitewashed wood and sky blue doors, this is a contemporary take on the classic Greek color scheme. The main living space is cloud white, with monochrome touches through the sleek kitchen and dining area. High wood-beamed ceilings add a rustic touch, while details including Murano crystal lighting, crystal glasses and valuable porcelains give the villa a luxury feeling. We love the vast master suite, the views out to sea from the upper terrace and the way the pool terrace looks as it if is emerging from the cliff itself.

Mykonos, Greek Islands

Windmills, yacht tours and beaches

This arid, sunny Cyclades island, 25 minutes by plane from Athens, is known for its nightlife and its cosmopolitan scene. But insiders know that there’s more to the island than its reputation suggests. With sandy beaches, 16th Century windmills and sensational sunsets, it’s got typical Greek appeal. Enjoy geckos scaling the walls, sunset cocktails, black olives in Greek salads and days spent at the beach.
