Why Kids Love it

There are steps that lead down into the pool, which means shallow water for little kids to play on. The kids’ room has 2 bunkbeds and sleeps up to 4, which is great fun when they’re all together. The villa has everything you might need for little ones including cribs, high chairs, baby monitor, bed rails, dinnerware and more. Books and toys are provided too and there’s a table football under the shady veranda for older kids to enjoy. Apart from beautiful beaches, Mykonos has lots for kids to do: see the goats on an organic animal farm, learn how to cook traditional Greek dishes with a family cooking lesson, or charter a boat to the sacred island of Delos, a UNESCO site and the birthplace of mythical Zeus.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 6 nights. Prices listed are for 7 night stays. The property has ungated stairs and an ungated pool so young children will require supervision. There are some exterior stone stairs. Included services are: arrival transfer (1 per booking), a welcome basket with local delicacies, pre-stocking services, discreet daily cleaning, change of linen twice a week, pool freshening, live-in housekeeper and early check-in / late check-out. Concierge services can be arranged including a babysitter, private chef, security, car rental, helicopter tours, spa and beauty treatments, tailor-made itineraries for couples and families with children, and custom boat trips to explore Mykonos and the surrounding islands.

About the Location

This villa is located in an elevated and private spot, situated above Myrsínē Bay on the glamorous Greek island of Mykonos. Myrsínē Beach is the closest beach and just a 7-minute drive, while 2 of the island’s best beaches are within 10 minutes. Two of these beaches have restaurants; 1 low-key with local Greek food (taverna), while at Alemagou, there is a beach restaurant with music and fun parties. Mykonos airport and the bustling Mykonos town are 25 minutes away by hire car or taxi. While Mykonos is known for its hip nightlife and famous beach parties, it’s equally full of quiet charm with secluded coves, windsurfing and a superb dining scene.

Accommodation Details

Villa Kariotis has 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms and is laid out over 3 levels. All bedrooms are ensuite. On the ground (lower) level are 3 separate double bedrooms with their own entrances and outdoor terraces, 2 of these have an additional single sofabed. On the pool level is an open plan living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen with secondary kitchen, and 1 kingsize master bedroom. Also on this level but in the independent guest house are 3 bedrooms: 1 kingsize master with sitting room, 1 kids’ room with bunkbeds for 4; and 1 twin / single (perfect for a nanny). On the upper level is a queensize bedroom with views and an outdoor terrace. Outside is a heated infinity pool, an al fresco shaded dining area seating 14 and a pool terrace with an outdoor bar, loungers and grill.

This glamorous villa has the wow factor with chic, all-white bedrooms, natural stone contemporary bathrooms, polished concrete floors and a landscaped terrace with vistas of the horizon. The building is constructed from bare stacked stone and whitewash. Everywhere are comfortable places to lounge and relax in the sun or the shade. Natural light floods in from the large windows. The suite on the upper level is ideal for those who want their own private space. We love the outdoor bar and the pool, the tranquil bedrooms (all but 1 have sea views), and the al fresco dining area for enjoying delicious meals and wine under the stars.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
