Perks for the Parents

This contemporary glamping site has a range of accommodation, including 1950s-style Airstream caravans, safari lodges, bell tents and bungalows, all set within a lush Mediterranean garden. Choose from accommodation options sleeping 2 to 4. Guests arrive to the island by boat and a free shuttle service in the resort's vintage car is available from Procida’s port. Each accommodation has its own outdoor shower and a private outdoor space. There is a new, shallow outdoor pool with child-friendly hot tub (maximum depth 1.2 m so ideal for kids) and lounge area near the restaurant. A Neapolitan breakfast, comprising Italian coffee, fresh pastries and fruit, is also included daily.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love swimming in the pool and splashing in the jacuzzi. They’ll be surprised by the colorful and original style of the rooms and by the outdoor space, full of greenery and relaxing music. The beach has gentle waves and is very close by (although small children may need extra supervision on the steps that lead down to it). The resort is protected and safe for children so that parents can switch off, while the kids stay safe within the ancient walls of the resort. Kids will enjoy the gentle pace of the island: watch fisherman repair their nets in the village of Corricella; enjoy a memorable climb to the quarter-fortress of Terra Murata; and check out snorkeling, diving or windsurfing on the coast.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. Procida Camp & Resort – La Caravella is enclosed in a garden with no cars allowed inside. Pets are not allowed. Hire e-bikes, take a dinghy ride or book yoga classes from the reception desk. Please note the pool is ungated so children will need to be supervised around it. Included in the price: bed linen and blankets, bath towels, pool access and towels, toiletries, daily tidy up of the accommodation, final clean, WiFi, high chair, baby bath and crib (to be requested when booking). Also included is a Neapolitan breakfast, served every morning.

About the Location

The resort is in a beautiful Mediterranean garden in the heart of the island and 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. Procida is the smallest island in the Bay of Naples and receives far fewer visitors than its neighboring islands of Ischia and Capri. The island is only 4 km sq and you can walk all around it – from its picturesque black sand beaches, to its colorful houses and hill-top medieval village, Terra Murata. Get here via Naples by hydrofoil boat (around 40 mins) or ferry (1 hr) to the unspoiled harbor.

The resort offers glamping in an enclosed green area with a range of accommodation options.
Caravan Airstreams: Sleeping up to 2 adults or up to 2 adults and 2 children. Each caravan has a fully equipped kitchenette, fridge, coffee machine, air con, 1 inside bathroom and 1 private outside bathroom, and outside veranda.
Garden Suite Bungalows: 1 double and 1 twin room sleeping up to 4 with a kitchen, living space, shaded outdoor dining, private bathroom and air con.
Safari Lodges: 2 bedrooms; 1 double and 1 with bunkbed for up to 4, with a full equipped kitchen, living area, adjacent private bathroom with shower, extra outdoor shower, outdoor dining and air con.

The shiny silver Airstreams are perfect for a couple and a baby, while the Safari Lodges and Garden Suite Bungalows offer more space for a family of 4. All are beautifully decorated and furnished with contemporary neutrals, natural wood tones and vibrant contemporary color pops. All are surrounded by flowers, lemon trees and flora of southern Italy. We love the well thought out spaces, the welcoming atmosphere and the off-the-beaten-track location.

When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Deposits and amount already paid will be returned only for cancellations made at least 30 days before the foreseen arrival date. If the booking will be cancelled: * 30 day before the arrival: Web Tourist Agency Srl will refund 100% of the amount already payed * from 29 to 15 days before arrival: Web Tourist Agency Srl will return the 50% of the amount already payed. * from 14 to 1 day before the arrival, no refund will be done.

We had the best time in the Procida Camp! It checked all the boxes for our family of 4, offering a camping experience with hotel like amenities. We stayed in an airstream with our two kids (ages 7 & 9), which the kids loved. We spent most of our days exploring the island, but always started and ended the day by the pool and breakfast/bar area which was the perfect home base. Can't wait to visit again!
