Style Notes

Modern country. The house is designed as a Mid Century modern ranch and the layout is fully open and furnished with colorful designer furniture. The homes in the area tend to be more traditional in style, so this is a good choice for those looking for a more modern aesthetic. The modern, colorful look continues inside with minimalist and beautifully designed spaces, white walls and wooden floors. Clutter is banished in place of light-filled spaces and views of the woods. We love the countryside setting, the modern finishes and the fantastic kitchen.

We loved our stay here in the woods! The home is immaculate and spacious. The owner gave clear and helpful instructions. The fire pit and chairs in the backyard is a highlight! We had the quintessential fall weekend getaway. So lovely to be surrounded by yellow trees and collect acorns outside with your children. The outdoor terraces are great too! We saw three bucks on the street on our way home! The downstairs movie projector was a hit with the kids. Only reason I gave it three stars for family friendliness because of the large staircase that is unavoidable. It is dangerous and made us anxious. I suggest adding a removable kiddy gate for the staircase.

We had a wonderful stay at the Evergreen Lane residence. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The adults enjoyed some sunny afternoons out on the deck while the kids played inside and explored the woods surrounding the property. We all enjoyed the home movie theater in the evenings! The house is tucked away and private, but a short drive into town to pick up coffee, groceries, etc. It was a short stay but exactly the respite we needed. Thanks to Christy for being a welcoming host!
