Why Kids Love it

Kids will feel comfortable in this spacious villa and adore the large gardens and the swimming inside and out. There are pool inflatables, lots of toys and games to play with, and there is a playground in the garden. Older kids will love exploring the area on the bicycles provided. The house is in a great location for driving to the big-city attractions of Brussels and Antwerp; Eindhoven, 40 minutes away, has museums, parks, skateboarding and cafés.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Note that there are no stair gates on the first floor. The outdoor pool has a gate and the door leading to it from the house has an extra lock out of children's reach that parents can secure. There is a pond, which is fully fenced, but young children will need supervision near it. The fireplaces have guards. There are ungated outside stone steps. There is parking at the property. Pets are welcome. A wooden crib, high chair, baby monitor, children’s dinnerware and babysitter are available. The nearest airport is at Eindhoven and accessible by hire car or taxi; you could also fly into Dusseldorf (1 hour 30 minutes away) or Brussels (1 hour 30 minutes away). Car rental is strongly advised for this property.

About the Location

The residence is in the small town of Neerpelt in the province of Limburg, Belgium, close to the Netherlands border. Neerpelt is known for its proximity to nature and there are cycling routes, hiking trails, and kayaking available nearby. The town has child-friendly restaurants and bars but there are more in Lommel, 15 minutes away. Eindhoven is a 40-minute drive; Brussels is 1 hour 20 minutes, while Amsterdam is 2 hours away by car. The European Music Festival for Young People is held every spring in Neerpelt and Tomorrowland, the popular electronic dance festival, is 1 hour 25 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

The house has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Set in large grounds with an outside pool, the villa has 2 floors. On the first floor is an indoor pool room with a hot tub, sauna, steam room and relaxation area with loungers overlooking the gardens and pond. Also on this floor is a kitchen, living area with an open fire and seats for up to 11, plus a snug, TV room, and games room with a billiards table. Upstairs there are 6 bedrooms (5 wiht kingsize and 1 with queensize bed) and 2 bathrooms, both with tubs. A double sofa bed sleeps an additional 2 guests. The covered terrace has dining set and outdoor heater.

Style Notes

Modern family. This contemporary villa has clean lines and an abundance of natural light streaming in through the large windows yet there are knickknacks everywhere – this is not for minimalists. Tones are neutral throughout – soft grays, black, beige and white maintain the modern look and feel. The vibe is comfortable with sofas and TVs in many bedrooms. We love the stunning garden and outside pool, the indoor, private spa and the comfortable TV room.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We are a young couple of 33 years old with two little boys. One is today 3 years old, and the second is almost 1 month old. We live in a peaceful and quite environment with a lot of nature in the surroundings. We like traveling, having dinner and enjoy the time with our kids.
