Style Notes
Luxury Kiwi cabin. The Boathouse is a striking, airy structure based on the design of a colonial woolshed that used to stand on this site. Designed by prominent New Zealand architect Pip Cheshire, the building’s traditional form has been given an elegant modern interpretation in natural wood and stone. The Boathouse’s understated style reflects a contemporary New Zealand aesthetic, with an emphasis on natural materials throughout and a design that is both innovative and functional. We love the eye-catching sculptures dotted throughout the house and garden, the proximity of the water, and the many luxurious outdoor spaces – perfect for spending all day outdoors.
