As a first generation California native, born to a German father and Panamanian mother, I've been traveling since early childhood. From my parents examples, I have always immersed myself in international cultures, cuisines, and languages. I've traveled extensively throughout Europe, Canada, much of the United States, Central America, and Thailand. I studied in Europe (Germany & Switzerland) and graduated from U.C. Berkeley. I've lived in San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Panama City, but Newport Beach, California is home base. My husband Scott is an avid surfer who also loves to travel. Together we have two children, a boy and a girl. They have been raised with the beach as their backyard. Our beach home caters to the needs of travelers, especially those with children, since we know what it's like to feel at home away from home.

Newport Beach, Orange County

An affluent Orange County community 25 minutes south of Disneyland Resort, Newport Beach is a paradise for boaters and beachcombers. With the largest recreational beach on the west coast, a 10-mile stretch of pristine white sand, it offers ample opportunities for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing. Stroll along one of the largest yacht harbors in the country, take a ferry to Balboa Island or rent a boat and dine dockside at a local seafood restaurant.

We stayed in Newport for three nights in the spring with our two children. The accommodations were amazing! Close to the beach, restaurants, grocery store and coffee shops. Kirsten was able to help us when we had questions and we were able to borrow a body board for our son. We hope to be back soon. Thank-you for the great trip. Sara Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Kirsten & family have a lovely gem in Newport beach. We had a wonderful stay with our two year old son. The house is VERY clean which is extremely important to me. Everything was walking distance and we didn't need a car. Beach, food (Bear Flag, Alta Coffee, Avilia El Ranchito), groceries, frozen yogurt (Go Greek), delicious coffee (Alta), pilates (Villa) and parks (38th Street) all near by. We are planning on coming back!

My family and I absolutely loved our time here. The property is in an amazing location, and we loved its proximity to the beach. Kirsten and Scott, the owners, were a pleasure to deal with and always available to help make our stay more enjoyable. We hope to return someday soon!
