About the Location

This beautiful home is located in the Diamond Heights neighborhood in Noe Valley, San Francisco. Towering above Noe Valley on the north and Glen Canyon to the south, this neighborhood has the laid back feel of a suburb and some of the best views in the city. Home to approximately 100 prized Eichler buildings built on seven distinct floor plans, it’s an undiscovered gem! Harry Stairway, just south of Beacon, leads up Billy Goat Hill, a local pocket park that provides stunning vistas and there are hiking trails just minutes from the house. Noe Valley proper is a 15-minute walk, and downtown San Francisco a short 10-minute drive. The Mission is just a 5-minute drive away, too.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. It features an atrium and open floor plan with floor-to-ceiling windows to create a seamless connection of indoors to outdoors. There is also a full kitchen and a family-sized dining area. The bedrooms are all on the upper floor: the primary bedroom boasts a kingsize bed plus a separate but connected nursery area with space for a pack n play. The second queensize bedroom is ideal for a nanny or au pair and the children’s bedroom is filled with toys and books, suitable for ages 5 and up, with 2 single beds. The residence has a family bathroom with a shower and bath for the children.

Style Notes

Mid-century modern. This house was built by Joseph Eichler and designed by famed architect Claude Oakland. It features a post and beam structure with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and tongue and groove ceilings. Kitchen and bathrooms are renovated with modern amenities (midnight blue cabinetry and seamless integrated appliances) and finished with original mid-century design in mind. We love the monochrome bathroom, the warm wooden walls in the living space and the super luxurious bar unit in the dining area.
