The house is ideally set up with a gourmet kitchen, family dining room and outdoor eating area among lavender bushes in the compact back yard. The home is laid out with bedrooms on the lower floor and an open plan living space on the top floor, both with access to either a deck or the garden. The family bathroom has an extra deep bath for a relaxing soak.

Why Kids Love it

The house is well set up with toys, books and games for kids, plus 2 separate children’s bedrooms, each with a twin/single bed. A travel crib can be added for babies. The neighborhood is very family friendly, with Victorian-style homes, sidewalk shopping and many playgrounds. Kids will love the libraries, toy stores, and weekly farmers markets. The hosts can provide scooters, bikes, and helmets for 2 kids and a stroller for younger children. There is even a walk-in toy closet for children.

About the Location

Noe Valley is a great location for a family stay in San Francisco, with groceries, clothing shops, bars, parks and more in the neighborhood. The restaurants are as diverse as the families living in the area; the parks consist of dog parks and playgrounds to accommodate the families in the neighborhood. Whole Foods is right in the center of the neighborhood and is constantly busy. The city’s airport is 30 minutes away by car.

Bright and traditional. The home is airy and comfortable with 12ft high ceilings and large skylights. The walls in the halls have wainscot and the colors of the walls are calm and subdued. We love the dining nook in the well maintained, west-facing garden and the fantastic location.

We're a family of four (daughters ages 7 & 9). and we love the Bay Area because it's so beautiful. While we go to New York City several times a year because all the grandparents live there, we're drawn to traveling to other beautiful places around the world. Most recently. we have gone to New Zealand, Hawaii, Madrid and Mexico.

We had a wonderful stay and felt comfortable and at home. Both the neighborhood and the house were perfectly suited for our visit to San Francisco. The bright and airy home was in a convenient and walkable neighborhood that was peaceful and family-friendly. Though in a dense neighborhood, we felt secluded inside the house. We admired the photography and artwork throughout. Having an off-street parking spot was great for quick returns and getaways. Our little one was thrilled with all the toys and slept soundly in the crib.

Noe Valley, San Francisco

Parks and shopping

This central part of San Francisco, bordered by the Mission District and Bernal Heights, is chock-full of pretty and colorful Victorian and Edwardian buildings, along with streets that swoop up and down hills. Popular with young families, it’s one of the city’s most desirable residential neighborhoods and has parks, a main street lined with vintage shops, artisan bakeries and cafés, and easy transit into downtown and around the city.
