Perks for the Parents

You can walk to Newport beach from this gorgeous 4-bedroom house with a tropical backyard, toys galore and a secure pool. It sleeps up to 8 + 2. Inside it has a luxury open plan living with a huge kitchen / diner and living room that opens to the large outside deck with a motorized sunshade and al fresco dining. Parents can truly relax here with excellent sightlines inside and out for watching the kids while they play. The pool is cleverly screened with glass panels to protect little ones and there’s a hot, outdoor shower.

Why Kids Love it

There are lots and lots of books and toys suitable for children under the age of 10 here. These include both indoor and outdoor toys as well as a separate playroom downstairs. Kids will love the flat, open back yard and the good sized-pool. The upstairs landing is a large space which is another good area for children to play. There are 2 cribs/cots provided. Walk to the beach – it’s a short and mainly flat stroll and should be easy for little legs – or explore the nearby child-friendly restaurants and cafes.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7-14 nights, please inquire with the hosts. The house not air conditioned aside from a stand-alone portable unit in one of the bedrooms. The property has a pool which can be seen from all areas of the downstairs living space, it is not heated. The hosts ask that a parent is in the pool area at all times with children in order to supervise. The pool key must be kept away from children at all times, so only adults grant access to the pool. Children should be supervised on the upstairs balcony. There are baby gates on the stairs for safety. There is parking on the driveway. A car is recommended to stay here. No pets, or parties.

About the Location

This residence is located in Newport, a northern suburb of Sydney that is known for its surfing breaks and beautiful scenery. Boutiques, restaurants and playgrounds are all a stroll away. It’s a 6-minute walk to the beach. Within walking distance in the other direction is the beautiful open waterway of Pittwater and The Newport, a popular bar and restaurant which overlooks it. A 25-minute walk along the headland will take you to the lovely Bilgola Beach. Alternatively, Palm Beach is a 15-minute drive from where you can take a short ferry ride to other beautiful beaches and national parks. To get here fly into Sydney International, 50 minutes away by car.

Accommodation Details

This 4-bedroom, 2-bathoom home is on 2 stories. On the first floor is a kitchen with an island seating up to 6, a lounge area and a dining area seating up to 8. This room leads into the outside deck where there is an automated canopy and dining for up to 8. Also on this floor is a downstairs toilet and a kids play room with a mini market, play kitchen and boxes of toys. Upstairs is a landing with sofas and a master kingsize bedroom, a queensize bedroom room, a double / full bed in a room with a crib and another bedroom with a double/ full bed and crib. There are 2 family bathrooms, each with a bath tub and walk-in shower.

Style Notes

Beautiful and bright beach home. This luxurious Northern Beaches home is fitted to a high spec with plenty of space for easy family living. Sunlight pours into the interior in summer through the large windows and doors. The downstairs is open plan with the kitchen flowing into the living room and the entire room looking out into the garden. The kitchen is sleek with stone-topped counters. We love the deck with a table for enjoying outdoor family feasts, the lovely pool area and the tropical garden filled with palm trees and fauna.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Warning: staying here may make you want to emigrate to Sydney. The northern beaches suburb of the city is little drive from the CBD but with famous beaches and national parks on your doorstep, who needs skyscrapers? Eat at beachside cafés, swim in ocean swimming pools and build castles in the sand. The ferry from Manly to the city is one of the best-known attractions; take a stroll around ancient headlands and national parks to truly feel like a local.
