We had a lovely stay at Solar Egas. We stayed at the house on our way out of Porto towards the countryside, and Iva and her team were wonderful and accommodating in welcoming us to the area. They provided us with excellent local tips and experiences. Our kids particularly loved the pool and swing set. There was even a small wading pool that was the perfect size for our two year old to splash around. Thanks again Iva!

We stayed in a family room at this beautiful hotel. Our family of 3 were extremely comfortable in the spacious room and enjoyed the welcome port and treat. The staff was welcoming, helpful, eager to please and extremely friendly to our 6 year old daughter. She had so much fun getting to know them! The daily breakfast was fresh, delicious and always graciously served. We enjoyed the comforts of the common areas in the hotel, including the outdoor tables and pool. The staff was also helpful in recommending restaurants and transportation. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay between Porto and Douro Valley. Both areas were easily accessible from the hotel for day trips.
