This inspiring family apartment in Paris, sleeping up to 6, will give you a taste for minimalist living in a lovely part of the city. The simple uncluttered residence is great for a family trip to the city, close to a metro line and five minutes into the city center. Fantastic toys are tucked away in plain sight while what looks to be a white cupboard in fact conceals a mini office. This is how to use space cleverly. The two children’s bedrooms are connected and there are lovely design touches, from vintage kids chairs to posters of Miffy. The residence suits a family of 2 adults, 4 kids or a family with up to 2 kids and a nanny.

What we love

  • Great location close to the heart of Paris
  • Lots of space with high ceilinged rooms and clever storage
  • The vintage kids chairs and Miffy posters get our seal of approval
  • There is one double bedroom, clean and simple with a double bed, and two interconnected kids rooms
  • The kids rooms are painted blue and are soothing and uncluttered (good for sleeping). One has 2 beds and the other has a single bed and a mezzanine bed
  • Very cool toys including a Brio train set, trucks and plastic animals, are tucked away in the cupboards
  • The bathroom has a bathtub and shower, and toiletries are provided
  • There is a full family kitchen with all appliances tucked away as per the simple minimalist style

I am a mother of 2 boys, Paul and Jacques. I founded the first online concept store for kids called littlefashiongallery back in 2006 - and i have since been appointed VP Digital for one of the leading kids fashion group. And because I am an entrepreneur at heart, I have recently founded a new venture called Cool Cloud Paris : we provide talents on demand to help organisation succeed their digital transformation and i lead digital boards for small to midcap companies. I juggle with being a mum, wife and entrepreneur. We bought this place in 2013 and had it enterely redone - with double glazed windows, it is very calm and peaceful. The atmosphere is zen with a mix of black and white and minimalist lines - and i have added some fun touches like my collection of Vallauris ceramics, which are all displayed together as a sort of cabinet of curiosity ;-) The place is perfect for a family to share some great moments together !

This was our second time staying at Marie's apartment, and we had an amazing time. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. It's super close to Rue des Martyrs, which has an array of food shops. We always had beautiful breakfast at the apartment with the goodies from the Rue des Martyrs run in the morning. It's also easy to get to places as you have access to 3 metro stops. We hope to stay here again!

Fantastic! My family and I stayed in the Saint-Lazare Residence for four days. Our kids, ages 3 and 6, would have been happy to have never set foot outside the apartment - they had a blast with all the toys. The home was very clean and large, and had everything a family would need. Marie was a delightful host and her house cleaner helped us get settled. The location was perfect; a quick Uber ride was all that was needed to get to anywhere in the city and the neighborhood had a wide variety of small shops, bakeries and restaurants that kept us happy and well-fed. We cannot wait to visit again.

We just had the most lovely vacation in Paris, our stay at Marie's Saint-Lazare residence was wonderful! Marie was the perfect host, she was easy to communicate with and made sure that all our needs were met throughout our stay. The apartment is gorgeous. It's light and airy with floor-length windows, original moldings, beautiful wood floors and marble fireplace. The apartment wraps around a lovely courtyard, creating a space that's peaceful and quiet. Our 2 year old daughter loved all the toys, books and child-sized furniture. We all 3 fell in love with the neighborhood. It was easy to walk up to Montmarte or down to the 1st arrondissement. The metro and multiple bus stops are just steps from the front door as well. We enjoyed so many good things to eat from all the food stalls on Rue des Martyrs and the neighborhood restaurants (Marie gave great recommendations). And our daughter was thrilled to find a tiny carousel just at the top of Rue des Martyrs. And 2 more bigger carousels on the walk up to Montmarte! And another carousel in Tuileries Garden! She was also enchanted by the many beautiful toyshops we found in the neighborhood Arcades. All this was within walking distance from the apartment.

The Saint-Lazare residence was the perfect home away from home for our family. The hip location is ideal -- about 50 meters from the metro and a two-minute walk from the super market. Lots of quaint shops and restaurants nearby. My little guys were as excited to return to the apartment to play with the toys as they were to see the sights of Paris. Marie was a wonderful host and checked in frequently to ensure all was well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had a comfortable experience that would have been difficult to replicate in a hotel. I highly recommend the Saint-Lazare residence.

We stayed in this beautiful home for a short stay this July. The apartment is as beautiful, if not more than it appears in the photos. Every detail is well thought out and considered. Marie's home is located in a beautiful block in a friendly neighbourhood. We met Marie and her cleaner, Fatima, and both were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. This is the perfect base for exploring Paris.

We loved our stay in the Saint-Lazare apartment! The toys on hand were perfect for my 8-year old son and 3-year old daughter. The apartment was spotless and beautifully styled. It was wonderful to explore another area of the city as we usually stay in the 6th or 7th. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurants and shopping on Rue de Martyrs. The park at Place d'Anvers was a daily diversion. The metro stop around the corner, Notre-Dame de Lorette was an easy line for connections to other areas. Marie was very responsive to inquiries. Overall a great stay and look forward to booking in the future.

Beautiful apartment which suited our needs perfectly. It's a metro ride from most of the key things you might want to visit in Paris but that only adds to the experience for the kids! We had a great time.

Small shops and a Sunday market

This area of central Paris, 20 minutes' walk from the Louvre, is safe, classy and family friendly. Its streets are lined with some of the best foodie shops in the city, with patisseries, bakeries and boutiques nearby plus a Sunday market along rue des Martyrs. It's not far from the classic Parisian districts of Pigalle and Montmartre.
