A cozy London townhouse in the heart of Notting Hill, just a few minutes’ walk from Notting Hill Gate underground station. It sleeps 6. Parents will love this super walkable location, with bakeries, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep as well as the fun Portobello Road street market just 10 minutes away on foot. It’s a short walk to Kensington Palace Gardens or the shops of High Street Kensington to the south, while the city center sights are less than half an hour away by tube.

Why Kids Love it

While the house doesn’t have toys or books for kids, there is plenty for families to see and do nearby. Holland Park is 10 minutes’ walk, where you’ll find an adventure playground and lots of green space to roam. Spend a day exploring Hyde Park (the west side entrance is 10 minutes away on foot) for pony rides, outdoor swimming and the amazing Princess Diana Memorial playground. For older kids and teens, nearby Notting Hill is ideal for some independent exploring: they’ll find a bowling alley, cinema, weekend market and lots of cool eateries.

Things to Know

This home doesn't have air-conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. This home accepts babies, toddlers and children, but does not accept pets. This home is spread over four levels with no internal elevator. There are stairs up to the entrance of this home. The master bedroom ensuite is up a flight of stairs from the master bedroom. This home is near to a primary school. Some noise may be evident outside of the home with the coming and going of children. The fireplace in this home is ornamental. About the Location

The house is located in Notting Hill, in the Hillgate neighborhood. Famous for its colourful carnival and eclectic, bohemian way of life, Notting Hill Gate is home to some of the most beautiful Georgian architectural homes. The charms of Portobello Road street market are nearby, as are the wide-open spaces of Hyde Park (head across to the east side to visit Buckingham Palace) and Holland Park (home to the Design Museum).

Accommodation Details

The property has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 3 floors. The entrance level is home to the living room along with a double bedroom. Downstairs are the main living spaces, including the kitchen/dining room and private office. Upstairs on the top floor, you’ll find the primary suite - a super kingsize bedroom with an ensuite bathroom (up a set of stairs) - as well as the second kingsize bedroom and a separate bathroom. Outside there’s also a paved garden.

Style Notes

Characterful and cozy. The décor throughout is clean and modern but with a nod to the home’s heritage with key features such as the living room’s ornate fireplace and stripped wooden flooring. There are lots of quirky details, such as dual aspect windows and split level stairs, which add to the cozy feel. We love the traditional all-white bathrooms, the light-filled kitchen and the handy built-in storage.
