This luxurious modern home in Seaside, Oregon is an easy 5-minute walk to the beach on Seaside Cove for surfing, paddle-boarding or building sandcastles, and a 10-minute walk to the oceanfront Promenade that takes you to Broadway Street with its shops and family-friendly restaurants. This spacious home sleeps 10, a perfect place for large families to have a relaxing vacation by the beach, or for 2 small families to share. It backs to Seaside Golf Course and comes with a variety of sports equipment and games for the whole family to enjoy rain or shine. The main bedroom suite overlooks the peaceful backyard and boasts a well-appointed bathroom with a soaking tub, separate shower and double vanities. The house comes with full-size washer and dryer and toiletries allowing guests to pack light, and comes with a BBQ grill, cooking essentials and even a few spices allowing at-home dining options.

Why Kids Love it

This is a great vacation home for active families who enjoy the great outdoors. The fenced backyard has a cornhole set and a natural gas firepit, which is fun for toasting late night s'mores. Badminton, volleyball, football, soccer ball and ping-pong are also available for kids to play with. They will love hanging out in the game room, which has a foosball table, dartboard, board games, Smart TV and a large bean bag. Nearby beaches, parks and local attractions offer more activities. Fun Land Arcade, Seaside Aquarium and Captain Kid Amusement Park are all within 1.5 miles.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Top priority for the hosts is to keep the house as a safe and healthy vacation place for families with young children and grandparents to enjoy, so it is strictly a no smoking, no vaping, drug-free, and pet-free property. For parents with babies or toddlers, the hosts can provide kid-friendly dinnerware, highchair and Pack N’ Play on request. There are 2 spaces for parking on the driveway (street parking is not permitted) and 2 additional spaces in the garage (with the ping-pong table collapsed). Guests can also borrow complimentary bikes, body boards, stand-up paddle boards, and golf clubs during their stay.

About the Location

This property is located in Seaside, Oregon, arguably one of the most family-oriented beach towns on the Oregon Coast in the USA. It is 1.5 hours away from Portland International Airport. The house backs to Seaside Golf Course and it is 400 yards away (5-minute walk) from the rocky beach of Seaside Cove, which is popular with surfers. This area is one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Seaside: quieter yet still close to the action, with the iconic Promenade just a short walk away, taking you to fun-filled Broadway Street, with its ice cream parlors, family-friendly eateries, and tourist shops. Further afield, Cannon Beach is 8 miles south and Astoria is 18 miles north. If you are looking for more hiking and biking trails, there is a huge selection of state parks along the coastline to explore and other beach towns to visit.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. Downstairs is a light-filled open floor plan living/dining (dining table seats 8, island bar seats 3), with a fully-equipped kitchen boasting stainless steel appliances, large island and quartz countertops. The main floor also has the master suite with king-size bed, laundry room, dedicated office and ½ bath off the foyer. Upstairs are three guest rooms, another full bathroom with double vanities and a bonus/game room. Two of the guest rooms each have queen size beds (one has a walk-in closet) and the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed: a single bed on top and a double bed underneath, plus a single trundle bed.

Style Notes

Light-filled and stylish beach house. Built in 2019, this house was designed in the coastal farmhouse style, with mostly white and blue accent colors. It is bright and airy with large windows, complemented by light tones and spacious interiors, giving it an atmosphere of both comfort and casual elegance. The house also offers a bit of luxury with its quartz countertops in the kitchen and both bathrooms, as well as designer light fixtures throughout. We love all the thoughtful touches – from the brightly-colored Adirondack chairs in the covered deck and around the firepit, to the beach-themed textiles on the dining room chairs and ocean-inspired decor in every room.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We are a family of three and we live in Kent, a suburb in Seattle, Washington. Kevin is a head brewer, I work in Finance and our son, Ian, is a future soccer star. Lallybroch Cottage started as a dream a very long time ago and finally realized in 2019. It was built and designed to be enjoyed by family and guests of all ages, hopefully for generations to come. We've been coming to Seaside with our extended family for over a decade. So having this beach house is truly exciting for us. It makes us happy to know that our guests have fun and will have great memories of their home away from home.

Our family had an incredible time at this Seaside home! For starters, the communication from start to finish with Bing was great - couldn’t have been better! Upon check-in, we found the house to be extremely clean, decorated nicely, and so comfortable for a weekend away. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with things the we could use throughout our stay, which was appreciated! Our kids (and adults too) had so much fun playing foosball, darts, board games, playing out back and roasting marshmallows! I could continue on with this positive room for awhile but I will leave it with this. If you’re looking for a nice home to stay in with your family, look no further, you will not be disappointed in choosing this home - it is truly great for all ages! Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway.
