The hotel-style primary bedroom is spacious and offers privacy from the rest of the bedrooms, with a connected balcony for a quiet morning coffee. When you’re ready to explore the city, it’s well connected (less than 5 minutes’ walk to 3 tram stops) and 1 street away from the De Hallen indoor food market.

Why Kids Love it

There’s a dedicated kids bedroom as well as toys, games and books in the apartment, and the host can arrange a high chair and a crib on request. Just around the corner there’s a nice playground for kids of all ages, including a football area, petting zoo and a sandbox. Families with older kids can reach the Museum district in 15 minutes by tram, or explore the green spaces of Vondelpark (20 minutes on foot or by tram) for a day outside.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Maximum number of guests: 4. The apartment has its private entrance for safety and privacy. Parking is possible nearby (for a fee) although car rental is not necessary in this area. There are multiple stairs in the property and no elevator. Please note there are no stair gates. A third bedroom is used for storage and not accessible for guests. Sorry - no pets, smoking or parties allowed. Ask the host for help with additional services, including: e-bike hire, private boat trips on the canals, a beach house visit (the host’s second property) or pilates classes in one of the gyms located on the ground level.

About the Location

The apartment is located in the popular Oud West area, which is very well located to the rest of the city. It’s just 2 tram stops away from Museum square (or 10 minutes’ walk), 5 stops away from Central Station/Damsquare and 10 minutes’ walk from Leidseplein. The neighborhood has plenty of nice restaurants and bars nearby, including the best ice cream parlor (Massimo) and a family-style pasta place (Spaghetteria) located down the street. It’s next door to the Ten Kate market, a daily food market to stroll around for fresh bread, vegetables and flowers.

Accommodation Details

This loft apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. On the upper floor, you’ll find a large open plan kitchen/dining room/living room with a dining table for 8 and a side island with a breakfast bar. The living area leads to a roof terrace where you can have a BBQ. Downstairs, the primary bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second bedroom has a single bed plus another single trundle bed. There is also 1 travel crib and 1 single airbed available. The recently renovated bathroom has a tub and a walk-in shower.

Style Notes

Monochrome loft. The hosts have chosen a mix of contemporary styles and refurbished design. They love art and photography, and have added eclectic pieces of furniture, such as the bedroom drawers and the living room trunk to add a vintage touch. We love the winding white staircase in the center of the living space, the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and the sophisticated black matte kitchen.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Handsome houses and street markets

This area of the city is 10-minutes to the east of downtown and is known for its handsome houses, busy shopping streets and street markets. It's close to the Vondelpark and is a great place for a family, with good restaurants and terraces for people-watching. It's also known for having the highest concentration of coffee bars in the city.
