Perks for the Parents
This rural residence is located between the forest and the beach, just 30 minutes away from the city of Amsterdam, and comes with a separate playroom, pretty backyard and stylish interiors. It sleeps 8. Get back to nature with an open-water swim in the nearby canal and a day trip to the sandy dunes of Zandvoort beach (2.5 miles away) or visit the famous attractions in Amsterdam: Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum, Nemo Science Museum, Artis Zoo are all 30-40 minutes’ drive.
Why Kids Love it
The house has a playroom with a Nintendo games console, board games and lots of toys. Kids of all ages will love wandering around this woodland location, spotting horses at nearby stables and the deer in the nearby Naaldenveld forest (0.2 miles). A short drive away is the Kinderboerderij de Houthoeve petting zoo and playground or the Linnaeushof play garden (Europe's biggest playground) - both perfect for younger kids. Older kids and teenagers will enjoy the watersports and lively atmosphere of the nearby Zandvoort beach (10 minutes by bike or short drive).
Things to Know

The house has WiFi, children’s utensils, free driveway parking, 2 high chairs, TV, window guards and washer/dryer. There are 5 bikes behind the house for children aged 3-9 to use. There are lots of canals in the local area so young children should be supervised.

The house is located in Bentveld, 30 minutes’ drive (22 miles) from Amsterdam in The Netherlands. It is 11 miles to Amsterdam Schipol Airport. The nearest station is Heemstede (1.8 miles) which has direct connections to Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam. Nearby Zandvoort sandy beach is just 10 minutes away by bike, and offers beach bars, restaurants, surfing, paddle-boarding, kitesurfing or hiking along the sand dunes. The residence is located directly next to a dune forest where you can walk among the trees (and spot the local deer) and just 15 minutes' drive to Haarlem, a great family-friendly city with lots of restaurants, theaters and a cinema.

Style Notes
Woodland retreat. The house is modern, simple and bright, with neutral wall colours and natural materials. The stylish modern bathrooms have contemporary matte black details, while the open plan kitchen and dining area features an eclectic mix of dining chairs and beautiful glass doors leading out to the backyard. We love the herringbone flooring in the playroom, the cool kids bed ‘houses’ and the gold accents in the kitchen.
Outside Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Boulevards, bike paths and beaches
Beyond the city you’ll find wide boulevards and bike routes, large houses, gardens and plenty of play space – along with a canal or two at the bottom of the garden. The outskirts of Amsterdam are a great base for a Dutch adventure, giving you easy access to the rest of the country. Play on the surprisingly beautiful sandy beaches of the North Sea, cycle beside fields of tulips and windmills, or admire the stunning architecture of Rotterdam, Delft and Utrecht. Or simply daytrip into the city by tram, bus or train.
