This stunning modern apartment, just 15 minutes away from the beaches of Sottomarina, is set on a tranquil canal in Chioggia with views of boats and the water. Great attention to detail has been paid to the style and design, which is contemporary with bright pops of color and unique details. It is 2 houses from one of the best restaurants in town and walking distance from everything in Chioggia, including the fish market, the central pedestrian area and local cafés.

Why Kids Love it

The hosts provide toys and games for children. There is a playground 2 houses away from the property and the beautiful Sottomarina beaches are just 20 minutes away on foot or under 10 minutes' drive. Watching the boats on the water from the terrace is a lovely way to spend a morning and kids will love wandering over the pretty Vigo Bridge.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days. The apartment includes air conditioning, dishwasher and WiFi. It is on the second floor with no elevator. Car rental advised; parking at the property. Small children may need supervision on the terrace overlooking the water. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters, making it very dark at night. You can reach central Venice in around 2 hours by boats and buses, or by car in 1 hour.

About the Location

The apartment is in central Chioggia, a peninsula on mainland Italy at the very southernmost part of the Venetian lagoon, with the Lido di Pellestrina just 15 minutes away by waterbus. It overlooks the San Domenico canal, a real fisherman’s canal with a shipyard to the left and a lagoon to the right. It is on a quiet street and is calm at night. Venice and Treviso airports are the closest, and both have bus links to Chioggia. Car rental is not necessary.

Accommodation Details

This second floor apartment has an open plan living room/ kitchen with a terrace overlooking a canal, a double bedroom with kingsize bed and a bathroom with a shower. There is a sofa bed in the lounge to sleep a further 1-2 guests, and a travel crib can be added to any room.

Style Notes

Contemporary design. With views on to canals and boats plus serene spaces and minimal modern style, it is a design haven. The designer Lago kitchen has a unique patchwork tile splashback, the living room has a Rondò La Palma table and Artemide lights with vintage bulbs, and the flooring is by Lindura.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

The apartment is very beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The balcony has it all! Breathtaking views on the marina! We had great check-in and communication with our hosts Luciano and Chiara. Totally recommend if you want to stay in this area.

Luciano's place was perfect for us and our two small children (2.5 & 8 months). It is very well designed and easy to keep tidy. We loved the attention to detail and minimalism in this home. It was kid-friendly and our two-year-old loved the toys provided and watching the boats on the terrace. Chioggia is a lovely place to visit. We walked through the town, walked to the beach at Sottomarina, and took a boat to Venice.
