This 2-bedroom apartment is part of a boutique collection of villas with a shared pool and grounds, set on an organic farm with a cooking school and wine tours available. It sleeps up to 4 + 1. The residence has its own garden, alongside the shared facilities. The hosts offer a range of services to make your stay easy, including airport transfers, excursions and events. All guests are personally welcomed by the owners and will receive personal attention and care during their stay. When in season, guests can pick fruit, tomatoes and greens from the vegetable garden.

Why Kids Love it

Toys are provided for children of all ages. Young children will enjoy swimming and making new friends in the pool and there are toys and ping pong at the pool area too. The nearby village is very family friendly and full of local life. It has weekly family classes including pottery and daily cookery classes. There is also a playground under 5 minutes’ walk away with swings. The hosts can help to arrange a babysitter and have a Montessori-trained babysitter available. There are plenty of lovely villages to visit nearby, plus a chocolate factory, an aqua park, horseback riding, donkey riding and more. There are bikes for 2 guests and more are available to hire.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. Note that the infinity saltwater pool is not gated or heated and is shared with the other apartments within the Tartagli Villa. Children should be supervised on the balcony. This apartment can be rented for larger parties with the Brunello and/or Sangiovese apartments within the Tartagli Villa, or with any others on the estate. A high chair and travel crib can be supplied for 1 baby. Optional extras include a private chef, cooking school, airport transfers, wine tours and food tours. The following items are included in all rates: air conditioning, smart TV, DVD player, iPod speakers, radio, WiFi, towels and pool towels, hair dryer, dishwasher and washing machine. The hosts can help arrange rental car facilities on request. Spa amenities including massage, manicure, pedicure and facials are on offer at the estate or in your villa; horseback riding, golf and a sailing school can be arranged on request. A library of English language books is provided including a selection of art books, guides, maps, brochures and tourist information.

About the Location

The estate is walking distance to the village of Paciano where there are 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a pharmacy, a doctor, a museum, a tourist information center (open in summer) and a little shop. Paciano is in the province of Perugia, on the Umbria / Tuscan border approximately 50 minutes west of Perugia city, and 12km south of Lago Trasimeno. It is well placed for exploring the delights of Tuscany and Umbria, with Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, Orvieto, Assisi, Deruta and Montepulciano all under an hour away. Car rental is essential. Guided tours of the best of Umbria and Tuscany can be arranged by the host. The closest international airport is in Perugia, just under an hour away, with Rome’s airports approximately 2 hours’ drive away.

Accommodation Details

The Sagrantino Residence is on the ground floor with its own entrance. It is approximately 100 sq m and has a large living room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a private garden with a Weber gas BBQ. There are 2 kingsize bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; 1 has a full size bath tub and shower and the other has a walk-in shower. Two babies / toddlers can be accommodated in a crib and travel crib. In the shared grounds is an infinity pool with sun loungers, ping pong and a vegetable garden.

Style Notes

Classic Tuscany. With terracotta-tiled floors, wood beamed ceilings and a lovely blend of natural colors in its rooms, this small villa is a great base for a stay in the countryside. All the floors are heated and for colder nights, the modern fireplace makes the room cozy. The main estate was built in 1893 and this apartment villa is set on 40 acres with 3,000 olive trees and a small vineyard of old Sangiovese and Grechetto grapes. There are classic views of rolling green hills, and plenty of relaxing country pursuits to enjoy nearby. We love the infinity pool with its views over the picturesque countryside, the private garden for eating al fresco, and the peaceful location.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

This small and charming village, just under an hour west of Perugia, is a hub for local families with a playground and conveniences. A short drive away you'll find beautiful Lake Trasimeno, while Etruscan art is ready to be admired in Cortona, just 30 minutes away by car. Take time to enjoy the rolling hills and pretty villages nearby, to day trip to Siena and Montepulciano, and to enjoy the local wine and food the area is known for.
