Accommodation Details

This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom home is in an old town building with 4 units in total, all with an elevator. This unit is on the third floor and has a little balcony with views of the royal palace. It includes a main open plan living space with kitchen, living room, and dining area. The living room includes a comfortable Italian-designed sofa bed (160cmx200cm) only for kids under 12 years old. The bathroom has a shower. The master bedroom, at the back of the space, has a double bed and storage. The shared lobby/entrance space to the building includes a big map of Palma Old Town, a bench, WiFi and left luggage closets.

Style Notes

Cozy Nordic. Fresh and modern, this light, lovingly-transformed space has a clean modern minimalist style and plenty of pine, gray and white tones. The main living space is uncluttered and offers plenty of space to eat, play and relax. The bedroom and living room have Majorcan shutters to keep the rooms dark at night and prevent any outside noise from disturbing the peace. The location is one of the stand out features - who needs paintings on the wall with perfectly-framed views of the royal palace from the balcony? We love the little reading nook with rocking chair, the compact but very usable kitchen and the white painted beamed ceilings.

My name is Sandra and I´m from Madrid, Spain. I moved from Madrid to Palma after visiting the island every summer since I was a child, and I´m completely in love with it. I love discovering new places every day and I look forward to share them with my guests . I love deco, nature, movies, travel... It will be a pleasure for me to host you! :)

We're still talking about our wonderful stay in Mallorca at Mar Suites! I recently stayed for four nights with my husband and seven year old son. The one bedroom set up with sofa bed was perfect for the three of us (but would easily accommodate another child). The apartment was clean, bright, and smartly designed. My son's favorite spot was sitting on the balcony watching all of the action on the sidewalk below (I also enjoyed that spot while sipping on a cup of coffee or a glass of wine). The apartment contained virtually everything we needed for our stay. We made frequent use of the well appointed kitchen and were especially thankful for the washing machine. Sandra was extremely helpful, providing detailed suggestions on restaurants, markets, local excursions, etc. We did not rent a car because parking is a bit challenging in the surrounding neighborhood but we found plenty to do within walking distance or a cab ride. We're already talking about going back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mar Suites. The location is excellent, the host incredibly helpful and the place was spotless and lovely. We would recommend this to anyone and plan to come back next time we visit Mallorca!

Palma, Mallorca

Ancient castles, blue flag beaches and a historic train

Elegant and historic, Palma is the capital of Mallorca and revels in tapas bars, historic streets and fabulous blue flag beaches. The aquarium is a must-see, with 8,000 marine creatures and a range of special kids activities from face painting to turtle feeding and shark sleepovers, while the 14th century Bellver Castle hides tunnels and secret staircases in its buildings surrounded by pine forests. Day trips to Soller, a lovely rural town, are easy on the classic Soller Railway, through countryside and tunnels, and are sure to round off a great family vacation.
