A block from the beach, this spacious first floor apartment has a sunny roof terrace with hammock and play house and comes with bikes and a paddle surf board. Well set up for a family stay with cribs, high chairs and a bathroom with tub. There is a comfortable lounge with sofa and dining area.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys and books for kids under 5. Kids specially like being in the spacious roof top, which has a little wooden house for kids. There is a community swimming pool nearby and a sandy beach is 50m from the house. The neighborhood has a lot of playgrounds.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 days. The apartment is on the first floor and does not have an elevator. There is a storage room in the garage where strollers can be stored if required. The spiral stairs to the rooftop are gated. Car rental useful but not essential in this area with good public transport links.

About the Location

The residence is in the neighbourhood of El Molinar, 1 minute from the sea, just east of the city center. El Molinar is a former fishing village turned boho barrio with a 16km promenade, sandy beaches and beach bars and great cafés. It is 10 minutes by bus from the heart of the city and 5 minutes from Palma airport.

Accommodation Details

The apartment has a large living room with dining area, a kitchen and a large roof terrace with sea views and a chill out area. The 2 bedrooms include 1 with a double/full size bed and ensuite bathroom and 1 with 1-2 single beds, plus a crib if required. Bathrooms include 1 with a walk-in shower and 1 with a bathtub and shower.

Style Notes

Bright, light, modern, eclectic, with African inspiration. The apartment includes works of art (painting and sculptures) from many countries the owners have visited to add a special touch. White walls reflect the sunlight and the kids bedroom has unique wallpaper with a graphic print. We love the roof deck with its playful and relaxing spaces.

Palma, Mallorca

Ancient castles, blue flag beaches and a historic train

Elegant and historic, Palma is the capital of Mallorca and revels in tapas bars, historic streets and fabulous blue flag beaches. The aquarium is a must-see, with 8,000 marine creatures and a range of special kids activities from face painting to turtle feeding and shark sleepovers, while the 14th century Bellver Castle hides tunnels and secret staircases in its buildings surrounded by pine forests. Day trips to Soller, a lovely rural town, are easy on the classic Soller Railway, through countryside and tunnels, and are sure to round off a great family vacation.
