With laid back cosmopolitan vibes, the residence is an ideal family base for exploring Paris, with parks, canal walks, boho cafes, and stylish waterside restaurants a short walk from its door. Inside, the open plan living area is well set up for family hangouts, with a games/play zone in the corner – including a vintage arcade machine – and a TV den with huge corner sofas. The primary bedroom comes with a kingsize bed and the main bathroom has double sinks and showers so no need to queue.
Why Kids Love it
Kids will love this colorful loft apartment with plenty of space to play including a dedicated games zone with bean bags, toys and a games machine. There’s a TV/reading den off to the side of the living space for those needing to chill. The Canal St Martin is just minutes’ walk away with park areas and paths ideal for scooting or cycling. Jump on a canal cruise for a fun way to explore the area, or stop off at one of the many family-friendly restaurants along the waterway including Le Comptoir Général (a 5 minute cycle), full of toys and activities for younger ones. For foodie loving kids, the Marché Couvert Saint-Martin is a 5-minute walk with an array of food stalls offering samples of local produce. The hosts provide a crib and a highchair on request.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. The apartment is located in a building with an elevator. It is well set up for those needing to work with a mezzanine office, fast WiFi, an ergonomic chair and a laptop stand. The sofas in the living room can be converted into 2 beds to accommodate additional guests; please let the hosts know if this is required. Please note that there is no bathtub and stair gates are not provided so younger ones should be monitored around the stairs to the office. There is a washer/dryer for added convenience. Paid parking is available; please ask the hosts for details at time of booking. Check-in after 3pm; checkout before 11am.
About the Location
This residence is located in the trendy Canal Saint-Martin district, in Paris' 10th arrondissement, known for its boho bars, foodie restaurants, laid back cafes, markets and canal walks. You can take a boat ride on the 19th century waterway or check out the local Marché Couvert Saint-Martin, 1 of only 5 covered markets left in Paris, just a 5-minute walk from the loft. The closest metro station is Jacques Bonsergent (on line 5), less than 2 minutes away or it’s a 5-minute walk to the Place de la République, a central public transport hub with 5 subway lines and buses that can take you anywhere in Paris. It’s a 15 minute metro ride to Notre-Dame and 25 minutes to the Louvre or Concorde (bottom of the Champs-Elysées). Paris-Charles De Gaulle and Orly international airports are both approximately 50 minutes away by taxi. The Gare du Nord, for Eurostar, is a 15-minute taxi ride away.
Accommodation Details
The residence has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms set over 2 floors. The main living and sleeping quarters of the apartment are all on one level with a central open plan style living/kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is galley style and fully equipped with everything a guest would expect including a dishwasher, and a kitchen island with breakfast bar seating. There’s a dining table seating 8 in the mid zone, with a games area just beyond including bean bags and a free arcade machine. A living ‘room’ is set just off the kitchen area with a ‘U’ shaped sofa(bed) and a flat screen TV. Also on this floor, the primary bedroom comes with a kingsize bed and built in wardrobes, the second bedroom (directly off the living area) has a queensize bed and the third is the kids’ room with 2 single beds. There is a family bathroom with a double sink and a double shower, and a separate cloakroom. There is a mezzanine floor accessible via stairs from the living room which has an office space with a desk, storage drawers, an ergonomic chair, and gym equipment including weights and a yoga mat.

We love the mezzanine office and gym, just below the sky roof, it’s light filled and peaceful, providing the perfect spot for some morning yoga or quiet workspace.
