Perks for the Parents

A stunning contemporary villa just steps away from Voutakos beach in Paros, with a private pool and beautiful coastal views. It sleeps up to 6 + 1. Gated and private, this is the perfect spot for sun worshippers - parents can lay out on cozy loungers that line the vast sundeck, or spend the long days down by the beautiful beach. There are 2 outdoor showers for rinsing off sandy toes and a shady pergola for cool al fresco meals, surrounded by the relaxing aroma of lavender from the gardens. For even more seaside views, the rooftop terrace has magnificent sweeping views all the way to the neighboring island of Antiparos (visit by ferry from nearby Pounta port). Ask the hosts for concierge services during your stay, from additional cleaning or cooking to make your trip more comfortable.

Why Kids Love it

The villa is very family friendly, with pool toys for the kids and all the rooms located on one level. The pergola by the pool creates shade for lazy afternoons and the fenced-in grounds offer plenty of space to play outside safely. For parents with babies or toddlers, the hosts can provide a crib and highchair on request. The beach is just at the end of the lane, so it’s easy to access for even the littlest of legs! The hosts also have beach toys to take down to the sands.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Thought the house can sleep more, the hosts prefer to keep maximum capacity at 6 people plus a baby. Safety notes: children should be supervised in the pool area. All the bedrooms have private entrances entering out to a central courtyard, so you may want to bring a baby monitor if you need to keep an eye on little ones in the other rooms. One housekeeping visit is included with your stay (per week). Hosts are happy to negotiate longer-term rentals if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat! All the bathrooms have walk-in showers, not baths. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms, and there’s a fireplace in the living room for cooler months. There’s plenty of parking, both in the driveway at the door of the villa as well as in a detached carport - car rental is recommended as there is very little public transport. The hosts ask that you observe quiet hours between 3-6pm for siesta and after 10pm at night.

About the Location

The house is located just a few steps from the beautiful Voutakos Beach in Paros - an exclusive enclave with soft, golden sands. The water is easily and gently accessible for kids via a short walk down the street. Paros is a peaceful Greek island that’s ideal for families, sitting at the center of the Cycladic islands in the Aegean sea. There are opportunities for kitesurfing and windsurfing around the island, and plenty of sandy beaches or pretty coastal coves to explore. For days away from the beach, Paros has historical villages, unique shopping, art galleries to explore and delicious locally-produced food and wine. Ferries to the Cyclades operate from Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini and Tinos (and other islands, too!) during the summer season. Paros airport is less than 10 minutes’ drive.

Accommodation Details

The house has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, all set on 1 floor. The 3 airy bedrooms boast quality beds and linens: there’s 1 queensize room and the other rooms can be made up as kingsize or double twin rooms. The largest room can also accommodate an additional single bed. Each of the bedrooms have their own private terrace and wrap around a central courtyard, leading to the pool. The contemporary living/dining room area is spacious and the generous fully-equipped kitchen opens onto the central courtyard, which is shaded from the sun and protected from the wind - perfect for al fresco lounging and dining.

Style Notes

Minimalist modernity. Built in 2021, this contemporary villa has been designed with traditional white walls and stone floors, in keeping with classic architecture of the Greek islands. To add interest and warmth, the hosts have chosen local fine art and comfortable furnishings, with colorful textiles brightening up the neutral scheme. This is Cycladic living at its finest: beds are top-of-the-line organic Cocomat, and the villa sits in a luxurious landscape of lavender gardens and olive groves. We love the bold orange fireplace, the elegant outdoor seating and the color-pop dining chairs.

We built/renovated and outfitted our homes for our family, and the kids have grown up in them. We also enjoy exploring the rest of the world. Other favorite places include Sardinia and Kauai.
