Perks for the Parents

A sophisticated yet charming villa in Paros, with lots of space for families to share and a beach in easy reach. It sleeps 8 + 1. Parents with an eye for art will love the colorful living area, which is filled with contemporary artwork on the walls. The open place spaces are ideal for families, where you can keep an eye on little ones with ease or gather together for siestas in the cool shade. This is the perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing break - the gated property is located in an exclusive neighborhood, just a few seconds’ walk from the pristine Voutakos sandy beach.

Why Kids Love it

The villa comes with toys and games for children as well as a crib and highchair on request. The flexible bedroom options means that kids can have their own space or share with siblings if they prefer. It’s an easy walk for even the littlest kids down to the beach, where you’ll find soft sand and gentle calm waves. What’s more, it’s a great place to eat-out with kids - most restaurants in the Greek Islands will love accommodating children!

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Though the house can sleep more, the hosts request a maximum occupancy of 8 guests. Safety notes: there is an internal staircase to the upstairs, as well as walled balconies. The property is gated and private. One housekeeping visit is included with your stay (per week) and the hosts provide a personal concierge service for your arrival. There’s plenty of parking in the driveway and car rental is recommended as there is very little public transport. The hosts ask that you observe quiet hours between 3-6pm for siesta and after 10pm at night.

About the Location

The villa is located just a short walk from Voutakos beach in Paros. This area is a small enclave of owner-occupied villas with a sandy beach that’s ideal for children. Paros is a peaceful Greek island sitting at the center of the Cycladic islands in the Aegean sea. There are opportunities for kitesurfing and windsurfing around the island, and plenty of sandy beaches or pretty coastal coves to explore. For days away from the beach, Paros has historical villages, unique shopping, art galleries to explore and delicious locally-produced food and wine. Ferries to the Cyclades operate from Naxos, Mykonos, Santorini and Tinos (and other islands, too!) during the summer season. Paros airport is less than 10 minutes’ drive.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 5 bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, in the main house and a standalone cottage with 2 studio bedrooms (each with a kitchenette and a double bed - available in low season only) tucked into a redolent olive grove. Set over 2 floors, the main villa has multiple private terraces throughout, an open plan kitchen/living area with modern amenities and a washer/dryer in the laundry room. There are 3 twin rooms (each with 2 single beds) and 2 primary bedrooms with queensize beds. All the bathrooms have walk-in showers, not bathtubs, and there’s also an outdoor shower. Outside the house is surrounded by private vineyards and fruit trees.

Style Notes

Colorful charm. This modern, bright renovated villa blends practicality and convenience with carefully-selected interior pieces, such as the contemporary artwork adorning the walls. Colorful textiles add charm to the classic white palette, while the windows and terraces on every side make the most of the beautiful views. The open plan living room, dining area and brand-new kitchen flow comfortably onto the covered veranda with a private vineyard and jasmine-covered pergola. We love the natural wicker textures used in the furnishings, the brilliant blue bookcase and the cooling natural stone floors.

We built/renovated and outfitted our homes for our family, and the kids have grown up in them. We also enjoy exploring the rest of the world. Other favorite places include Sardinia and Kauai.

Paros, Greek Islands

Sandy beaches and traditional villages

The second largest island of the Cyclades, Paros has small, traditional villages, endless beaches, and a lush, green landscape. It is the perfect spot for families to experience authentic Greek culture. Take a plunge down heart-stopping water slides at Aqua Park, visit the beautiful stone church in the capital Parikia, or spend the day soaking up the sun on one of the island’s long, sandy beaches.
