Perks for the Parents

This pair of family-friendly villas in the Peleponnese have stunning sea views, an infinity pool and a beach 5-minutes walk away. They sleep up to 16 + 1. The property is divided into 2 separate villas – perfect for families or friends travelling together – both overlooking the pool and the sparkling blue Aegean Sea. Nearby, you’ll find excellent fish restaurants, café/bars, and a beachside chapel. At night you can relax with a glass of wine next to the pool with sweeping views overlooking Spetses Island.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will adore the large pool that has a shallow area and steps for toddlers. The local village of Ververonda is a renowned water-ski center with lessons and hire options. Otherwise, there is sea swimming, scuba diving and soccer to keep the kids entertained all year round. A crib and high chairs can be provided on request. The residence is a 10-minute walk from the naturally-enclosed lagoon with a spectacular interchanging pebble and sand beach and crystal-clear sea. The area abounds in secluded coves to explore.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Pets are welcome. There is a parking area for 6 cars. The pool is ungated, coffee tables have unprotected corners and there is a balcony – young children will need supervision. One bedroom is on a mezzanine level accessed by an open staircase and is unsuitable for young children. The villas come with air conditioning, espresso machines, satellite TVs, DVD players, MP3 docks, a housekeeper, as well as a private chef on request. The pool and the path between the 2 villas are spot-lit at night. It might be possible to rent just one villa for a small group - please consult with the host.

About the Location

The residence is in Ververonda, 1 km west from the Greek Riviera town of Porto Heli, in the southeastern part of Argolis on mainland Greece. The closest beach is a short walk away. It is a 2-hour 40 minute drive from Athens airport Eleftherios Venizelos or the same travelling time via ferry or sea taxi from Piraeus port. Porto Heli is a cosmopolitan village situated on a natural harbour. The serene, undiscovered island of Spetses is 1-minute water taxi ride away or 20 minutes by sea bus.

Accommodation Details

The 4000-sqm residence has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms divided into 2 detached villas. Each villa sleeps up to 8 with 4 bedrooms. Each villa has 2 bedrooms with twin beds, plus a kingsize bedroom and a queensize bedroom, or 1 queensize and 1 bedroom with 2 futons sleeping up to 4 people. There are 3 bathrooms per villa (2 ensuite) and a separate WC. Both villas have their own fully-equipped kitchen and open plan dining area with fireplaces and French doors to the pool. Outside there are landscaped gardens, a covered al fresco dining area and a private pool with sun loungers.

Style Notes

Grecian luxe. The 2 villas are identical from outside, but they differ style-wise on the inside. The first is minimalist with clean, white lines and neutral furnishings, while the other is house and garden-style with boho details of big lamps and colourful, ethnic rugs and cushions. Both are designed with comfort and luxury in mind. We love the high-quality fittings and exposed painted beams, the gorgeous outside space and the view out over the sea.

Peleponnese, Greece Mainland

Myths, legends and perfect beaches

From ancient ruins to postcard-perfect beaches, the Peleponnese peninsula in southern Greece is at the heart of the nation's myths and legends, the place where Odysseus' son started his search for his father, where classical civilization draws its rich history. You don't have to range around ruins and ancient sites - the beaches and mountains are dazzling on their own - but it would be a shame to miss the ruins at Mystra, Olympia, Mycenae or Corinth. Dine on fresh local fish, take boat trips and swim in crystal clear water.
