This classic Umbrian villa on the Antognolla estate is surrounded by herb and flower-filled gardens and sleeps 8 in four double bedrooms. It’s a beautiful spot, with views over an ancient castle, an L-shaped infinity saltwater pool made for a relaxing family stay, and plenty of attractions nearby. Close to the Tuscan and Le Marche borders, the residence is 15 minutes from Perugia and an hour and a half to Florence. Inside, it’s a grand house with high ceilings, chandeliers and period detailing plus comfortable bedrooms and a games room. Play in the gardens, visit the castle or take day trips to the stunning cities and countryside treats nearby.

What we love

  • The landscaped gardens are stunning: banks of lavender, mature olive trees, shrubs and flower-filled borders. There’s also a kitchen garden
  • The L-shaped saltwater pool - perfect for a sunny day- which has a covered pergola with seating and gas BBQ beside its terrace with sunbeds and umbrellas
  • It’s got a real feeling of space and grandeur, with rooms with high ceilings and period detailing including chandeliers and wooden ceilings
  • There are 4 double bedrooms, all ensuite. The master yellow bedroom has a hydrotherapy bath; all other bedrooms can be made up with twin or double beds as required
  • Three of the bedrooms are upstairs while one is on the ground floor
  • The living-dining room is incredible, with a great fireplace and antique French oak dining table seating 8-12
  • As well as a spacious living room, there is a games room leading from the main sitting room with snooker, table tennis and board games
  • The great self-catering facilities: cook up a storm with local produce fresh from the market in the large family kitchen with its 2 ovens, gas range, fridge and coffee maker
