My name is Debbie. I am a first grade teacher in New York City. My husband, Brien, is an attorney. We have two little kids, aged 3 and 5. We have lived in this area for the last 8 years and absolutely love this neighborhood. It's the perfect place to raise a family. We love to travel out east on the north fork of Long Island. They have beautiful wineries out there. We've also spent many summers in fire island and take a yearly trip to Maine. We have been to many countries in Europe but have put most flying destinations on hold due to children and the expenses. Our kids love to run, ride bikes, play in the playground, wrestle, and play with their many toys. We enjoy dinners out and spending time with friends in the neighborhood.

Wonderful apartment and gracious hosts. We have two young kids (4 & 6), and this apartment was a dream for them. Tons of great toys, excellent lay out. Deb was super helpful and kind. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay! Debbie made everything so easy for our family including leaving fresh milk, some easy kids snacks and food, and a bottle of wine. Really enjoyed our stay, there's a playground right outside and we'll definitely look to return next time we travel to Manhattan.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 preschoolers) enjoyed a wonderful long weekend here. Debbie was very responsive during the booking process, met us when we arrived, and made sure the house was stocked with essentials and beyond (soap, towels, bedding, toys but also food basics such as fruit, milk, eggs etc). Great location with access to subways, buses and taxis. Debbie also helped us find a sitter so we could go out to dinner a couple of evenings. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to any family looking for a well-equipped, comfortable home base in the city!

Debbie's place was just fantastic for our family. She had a crib set out for our 9 month old, and our 5 and 3 year old boys loved the kid bunk bed and the endless amazing toys, including bikes, scooters, superhero stuff... the list goes on. The place was impeccably clean, the beds were comfortable, and Debbie went above and beyond, waiting for us despite our flight getting into NYC very late, and stocking the fridge with milk, eggs and our favourite cereals. We totally felt at home away from home. My kids loved the neighbourhood, and the little playground kept them entertained in the mornings. My husband never wants to stay anywhere else again when we visit NYC.

Stuyvesant Town–Peter Cooper Village, Manhattan

An oasis in the city

Set on the East River north of the East Village, Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village are in a great location for exploring Manhattan, close to East Village restaurants and music spots, and on the East River Bikeway. Tucked away in this quiet location you'll find a thriving community, a seasonal Sunday green market, outdoor movie nights and music in the summer and plenty of playgrounds to amuse the kids.
