I have worked in the music and theatre business for many years learned a lot had great fun and made good friends. Opened my own business a Family Club and pre school that I have just sold. I have a 6 year old daughter that keeps me happy and busy. We have traveled quite a lot and love visiting new places... we have been together to Stocolm, London, Paris, Moroco.... and we love to discorver new cities. My kid loves running in the park, skating, drawing, playing with her dolls, painting and having fun with other kids. I think its wonderful to travel with kids and live the life and comfort of been a native in the town you visit and Kid & Coe can provide that.

We stayed in Laura's striking apartment for our first city break as a family of four (our daughter was 5 and our son 9 months at the time). It was a most enjoyable experience as Laura made us feel at home away from home straight away. She was the most wonderful host and together with her charming daughter made the trip a very special one for us and our daughter especially. The apartment has everything you need when travelling with little ones, is perfectly located to explore Madrid and is a true haven in the evening after the long days exploring the city. This was our first trip away at a Kid & Coe property and we really enjoyed it. Thank you, Laura.

Laura was an incredible host! We arrived via taxi and her mother was waiting for us at the curb. She gave us thorough instructions and even left some little gifts and a note for my son. The next day she texted to let us know of an event happening near the apartment with a link for more information. The apartment is cozy and really functional. My son loved his room, all of the toys, and Sophie the turtle. I think we read every one of the English books on the shelves. The location couldn’t be better. It’s a few steps away from Plaza Mayor, a short walk from the Sol train station, next door to a little market, close to a bunch of good restaurants. For a family trip to Madrid, we whole-heartedly recommend Laura’s place.

We've just returned from a 4 night stay in this lovely apartment, which is an ideal base to explore this lovely city with a small person in tow! Located just off one of the main squares in the city, in a beautiful and quiet building, the apartment is a 10 minute walk from two metro stations so getting around was easy - as was popping back to give our three year old (and us!) a break from sightseeing. A real home away from home, the apartment has everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The kids room complete with toys and books was a real hit with our son - he would have been happy staying in every day! Laura was the perfect host and couldn't have done more to make us feel at home. She was always at the end of the phone to answer any texts we sent about things to do or places to eat. We can't recommend the Santa Cruz Residence and Laura enough to anyone wanting to visit Madrid.

Laura was a very attentive host and was super accommodating with our families delayed arrival due to air traffic control strike. The flat is literally 100 meters from Plaza Mayor and in in a building with little grocer, made first nights food rations simple to procure. Laura had very easy to follow instruction for places to go and family friendly things to do. there are 2 parking garages near by to make families traveling by car simple in the congested city of Madrid. This flat will be a place to return to when we visit with family friends.

The proof of how much we enjoyed our stay at the Santa Cruz Residence is that as I opened this page to write this review and my 3 year old saw the picture and yelled "I want to go back to that apartment!" To which I responded, "ME TOO!" Everything about this apartment was perfect for my family (2 adults, just 2 year old, and 3.5 year old). First, the location. It couldn't be better situated to explore all of Madrid's main attractions. You can see the Plaza Mayor from the door of the apartment building. Inside you would have no idea you are in the center of a bustling city. The only view from the apartment windows are of the blue sky and the beautiful church next door. Second, the apartment itself. Laura's style is incredible. Beyond, the cool design, it is incredibly well-equipped and organized for both adults and kids. Laura worked with us in advance of and during the trip and made sure everything we needed (and more) was in place. She then helped us with directions, restaurant and shopping recommendations, and ideas for kid-friendly activities. We honestly can't say enough good things about our experience in the Santa Cruz Residence. Thank you for making our trip to Madrid so special!

Plaza Mayor, Madrid

The historic center

Plaza Mayor, the city’s majestic main square, is ringed by pavement cafés and restaurants and jumping with street performers. In the historic center of Madrid, stellar art galleries and museums are within walking distance (the Prado has a great kids tour) and Retiro Park is around 20 minutes walk away. It’s a lively area, day and night.
