Beach house. This light and neutral vacation home is perfect for the coastal setting. It has white-washed woods, lots of light flooding in from floor-to-ceiling windows, and dashes of blue tones to complement the oceanic views. Guests will feel right at home with the luxurious Lithuanian linens and organic gauze bedding. We love the contemporary concrete outdoor fireplace, the hotel-inspired walk-in shower, and the stunning sea-view setting of the dining table.

Monkeys, dolphins, whales and birds

For anyone visiting the Western Cape, Plett is a must-see. Six hours’ drive east of Cape Town on the Garden Route, it has outstanding beaches nearby and spectacular wildlife reserves to delight all the family. Take ocean safaris to see dolphins and whales; walk across the wooden suspension bridge at Birds of Eden, the world’s largest aviary, and see how many birds you can spot, or visit the Elephant Sanctuary for the chance to brush or even ride elephants. Plettenberg Game Reserve offers horseback safaris and Monkeyland is the largest reserve of its type in the world. Animal lovers will be in heaven.
