This stunning beach-side villa with views of the Atlantic Ocean is an oasis of calm with modern, minimalist styling and a generous 33-foot private heated pool. It sleeps up to 6. The villa has easy access to the sandy Praia Grande beach via a gate through the back of the garden and is an ideal home for family beach holidays, or for those wanting to play golf on one of the area’s many courses. The charming waterside village of Ferragudo, with its shops and restaurants, is only a short walk along the beach. The kitchen is a hero space, with a large dining area for up to 8 guests, an additional breakfast bar, and an open plan layout allowing parents to interact with the family while cooking. There’s space for everyone to relax here, whether in the living areas, on the terraces or on the green lawn.

Why Kids Love it

The villa is child-friendly and spacious, with crib, high chair, stairgates and many other essentials provided on request for a small fee. The large lawn is ideal for playing football, cricket, badminton, or just running around - and of course they’ll love to splash all day in the pool. The sandy beach (just 600m away) is full of families and calm shores, and the area is generally safe and quiet, with lots of family-friendly restaurants. There are plenty of activities for kids in Ferragudo, including golf, tennis, diving, canoeing, cycling and sailing boat rental and a selection of equestrian and horse riding activities nearby. There is also a vast water splash park, Zoomarine Albufeira, just 23km away from the villa. Note that there are a number of unprotected drops from various terraces and around the swimming pool; young children will need a careful eye/assistance.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 days. The pool is not gated and there are stone steps from the terrace to the garden. The villa’s grounds slope with private steps leading down to a sandy beach, so younger children should be supervised outside. Ask the hosts about additional services such as babysitting or a private chef. Check in: from 4pm. Check out: 10am. Air conditioning is available throughout the villa and there is satellite TV and a DVD player in the living room. Bedding, towels and WIFI are provided. For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of €350 per week. Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.. Smoking and vaping are not permitted and no pets allowed. Extra cribs and baby & child equipment are available on request to hire. A pool fence can also be hired for the week should this be needed for little ones. The bathrooms have showers, not bathtubs. The living room also has an open working fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, oven, filter coffee machine, toaster and blender and has access to the terrace.

About the Location

The villa is located in Ferragudo, Portugal - around a 70km drive from Faro airport. This waterside former fishing village offers plenty of shops and restaurants serving local cuisine and showcasing the catch of the day just a short walk along the beach. The peacefulness and old-world charm of Ferragudo is perfectly preserved, making it an idyllic Portuguese getaway. Whether it’s hiking to the fort, cycling to the lighthouse, or snorkeling amongst the Atlantic marine life, there’s plenty of amazing things to do in Ferragudo. The larger town of Portimão is 6 km away from the property, where guests can hire a boat from the harbour and explore the century old caves. Guests can also find fantastic golf courses, equestrian centres and tennis courts within 5km of the villa.

Accommodation Details

The villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all set on 1 floor. The functional open plan living area features high beamed ceilings, a spacious dining table that seats 8, and a modern, fully equipped kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances. There is also a well equipped utility room. The lounge area features plenty of comfortable seating, a lovely open fireplace and a TV for watching late night movies. The primary bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom, while bedrooms 2 and 3 both have twinsize beds and share an ensuite shower room. The living area opens out to a lovely outdoor terrace, where there is a covered dining area and bbq for guests to enjoy meal times together. Beyond the terrace, the gardens lead down to a large private pool with roman steps. Surrounded by a patio area, sun loungers and garden furniture, where guests can relax with a cool drink and take in the views. The garden area is perfect for outdoor play, and the villa’s grounds slope down to a sandy beach with private steps.

The villa is comfortably furnished, with modern appliances and new bathrooms, yet finished with laid-back natural materials such as wood and wicker to create a rustic yet luxurious feel.
