Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights, 3 in high season. A city tax of €2 per person per night is payable in cash on arrival (over 13s only, to a maximum of €14 per person per stay). This apartment is on the first floor of a recently renovated building. Young children will need supervision around the ladder. Parking in this neighborhood can be difficult: there are several parking lots close by plus street parking, costing €1 per hour from 8am until 8pm. The property has cable TV and WiFi, plus washer and dryer, dishwasher and luxury amenities. Free airport pick up for guests staying 4 nights or more. Guests staying 5 nights or more get free daily cleaning and free priority tickets to Lello Bookshop.

About the Location

The property is on Rua de São in the historical center of Porto. The neighborhood has Michelin starred restaurants, coffee shops, terraces, museums, pharmacies and traditional shops. Most of Porto’s key attractions and monuments (Dom Luis Bridge, the Douro River, São Bento Train Station and Cathedral Sé) are under 10 minutes' walk away. It is 9km away from the beach; the golf course, Golf Quinta do Fojo, is 5km away. The airport is a 20-minute drive away.

The residence has an open plan living dining area and a sleek kitchen with all amenities including a dishwasher. The master bedroom has kingsize bed while the second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined together to become a super king bed. There is also 1 double sofabed in the living room. Style Notes

Vintage chic. The 100-year-old building was sympathetically renovated in August 2016, keeping many of the original features, such as the wooden floors, elegant windows and high-wall skirting boards. Much of the furniture is handmade and adds a vintage feel, contrasted by sleek modern touches. Portuguese designed and handmade furniture such as the mustard yellow sofa and the vintage armchair lend this place a cozy vintage charm, while furnishings like moulded chairs and modern Portuguese designer illustrations provide contemporary counterpoints.

Payment policy
A city tax of EUR 2 per person and per night must be charged to all the guests sleeping in Porto. This value is not included in the accommodation price and must be paid in cash upon check in. Anyone older than 13 years (inclusive), staying a night in Porto, pays the tax per night, per person for a maximum of seven (7) straight nights per person and per stay (maximum amount of EUR 14 per guest).
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

The apartment is in a fantastic location in the historic old town, just up from the river and close to many shops and restaurants. It’s very busy and noisy outside, but the windows shut out so much noise and it felt quiet indoors. Our host met us on arrival to show us around and was super helpful. They left a box of toys out for our two boys which they loved! And there was loads of space for a family of 4. There’s a proper kitchen so we could do snacks or breakfast easily too. Our kids loved taking the cable car ride on the other side of the river, and the museum of discoveries.

We were warmly welcomed by Raquel. The place is fantastically situated and decorated, well kept, on a very well refurbished old-time building. The apartment is spacious, well-lit and equipped with quality items. Had a minor setback with the toilet that was quickly solved (in less than 2 hours!). Everything went very well and I wouldn’t have second thoughts on recommending it.

Awesome travel experience at Old Stone Flat. The flat is so cute, the design and style is really modern, simple decoration and really comfortable. The location is terrific, at the heart of the city center, close to everything: river, historical buildings, shops, restaurants, tram, ... we parked the car and enjoyed walking around the city. Gabriela was an incredible host, she is really thoughtful and we could check she loves to carefully manage every aspect of the flat. She made the most of our staying in Porto. Kids didn´t want to leave the flat. Gabriela is also a great "turist guide" she gave us lot of tips and recommendations about the city; we enjoyed following them!. The only drawback of the flat is one of the bedroom doesn't have a window for ventilation but was still quite comfortable for a short staying. Highly recommended!

Estamos felices y encantados con nuestra primera experiencia en Kid&Coe El apartamento era precioso y estaba muy muy bien ubicado, en pleno corazón de Oporto y muy cerca de todas las atracciones de la ciudad. De un lado, cafeterías, tiendas y restaurantes y del otro, el acceso a la ribera del río. This apartment is very well located in the city's historical center, and provides good security from the busy street with an exterior door and elevator access. The rooms are bright, clean and simply decorated; the rear bedroom doesn't have a window for ventilation but was still quite comfortable. A bin of toys kept our small kids entertained during down time. For adults, this location is terrific and there are restaurants, a small market, and a bakery immediately at hand. There is also a pleasant playground a few blocks away, and the riverfront and historic sites provide lots of family entertainment. The cobbled streets of the historic city are hilly and bumpy, which makes using a stroller a challenge, but we found we didn't need one to enjoy the neighborhood. The host, Gabriela, is very well organized, and provided many recommendations for restaurants, activities, and services. She responded almost immediately to all our questions and was extremely helpful in organizing car transfers. We felt safe, comfortable and cared for as guests here.

We had a fantastic time at the Old Stone Flat! Great location, design/layout of the house. Gabriela has been an amazing host. She gave us great tips on what to do with kids in Porto and her guide was all we used during our 4 day stay. The flat was very comfortable for our family and loved the big windows, the open plan kitchen and the beautiful furniture designed by Gabriela. We would definitely stay at the Old Stone Flats again.
