The beautiful Clérigos Tower, the Douro River, the Ribiera, the stunning Livraria Lello, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, and convenient public transport are just steps away. This residence in the center of it all, decorated with bright color and characterful paintings. Parents will enjoy a stroll down nearby Cândido dos Reis and Galeria de Paris streets for trendy independent shops, cafés, and exploring the many art galleries and alternative shops along Miguel Bombardo Street.

Why Kids Love it

While there are no toys or books provided, the hosts offer a travel guide for guests so you can plan plenty of activities and entertainment for kids nearby. Take the kids to Sea Life Porto, the Botanical Garden of Porto, and the capital city of Lisbon, all within a day’s journey. This is a safe neighborhood that is quiet a night, so kids can get a good night's sleep.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Safety notes: small children may need to be watched on the balcony. This is a second floor studio apartment with an elevator. Note that the kingsize bed is divided from the living area by a shelving unit. There is an additional queen sized sofa bed in this room. There's no need for car hire for short stays within the city - public transport is reliable and nearby. Parking is available nearby for €16 per day. Sorry - no pets.

About the Location

It's an easy central location in Porto on a beautifully renovated street, steps away from historical landmarks, public transport, shopping and dining. The Clérigos Tower, the Livraria Lello, the Douro River, and the Ribeira are steps away, and many cafés, restaurants, shops, and galleries are within walking distance. It's a 2-minute walk from São Bento metro and train station. It's 40 minutes to Porto’s Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport by car or taxi and around 2 hours and 45 minutes to Lisbon.

Accommodation Details

This studio apartment has queensize bed, with a double sofabed and space to add a travel crib in the living area (available on request). The lounge area boasts a flatscreen TV and 100 cable channels, plus a dining area with seating for up to 4. The open plan modern kitchen is well set up for family cooking, with oven, microwave, sleek cabinets and a tiled floor. The bathroom features a shower-over-bathtub. There's also a small balcony with seating and views of the city.

Style Notes

Compact and chic. This sweet studio blends mid-century styling and warm hues to create a mellow, relaxed space. The kitchen is minimalist and clean, creating an easy space for at-home cooking. We love the contemporary artwork on the walls, the bright yellow balcony chairs and the stylish walnut wood furniture.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

The apartment is excelent. The service is nice. The bedding is comforting. The location is absolutely perfection! The kids were happy, their parents couldn't ask for more. We had to move from one to another place within 2,5 weeks during our holiday in Portugal. At the end of our journey the kids told us "Hugo's Hotel" is the best from all of them. The place we would like to call our Home in Porto, we'll be back for sure. Obrigada Hugo!

there is just one word for our trip to Porto: Perfect! The Apartment is located very central and all interesting spots are in within a walking distance, but there are also bus and train nearby. Beside the location we loved to stay in Hugo's apartment. It's cosy, clean, well equipped and the interior is lovely arranged. There are also enough toys to play. Hugo as a host is amazing. He waited in the apartment, gave us a very good instruction and also some good tips for Porto.

The host, Hugo, was super welcoming and warm. He met with us when we arrived and provided us with information on what to do, where to go, and most importantly, gave us a list of his favorites places on where to eat! We are a family of two adults and two young children, and the apartment was perfect for us. The decor is very tastefully done and stylish, yet not fussy so that we didn't have to worry about the children breaking anything. Hugo even showed us a box of toys that the kids loved playing with! The location is super central and cannot be beat. We were able to walk everywhere. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality! We are in love with Porto!!
