This stunning villa in the French Riviera on the edge of a typical Provencal village with its medieval castle, offers a private and peaceful setting with Mediterranean gardens, several al fresco places to dine, gorgeous interiors and panoramic views of the Saint-Véran Forest, the Alps and the sea. It sleeps 14. The swimming pool is 13 x 6m with a depth of 2.21m, so perfect for an early morning workout. Cool off in the pool house that comes with a large fridge and dining terrace. Cook with local produce in the modern kitchen - or hire a chef if you prefer. Out and about are charming villages, art galleries, local festivals, yachting harbors, and superb golf courses.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love the large gardens where they are free to explore safely. The pool will provide hours of fun (please note, it is ungated). There is baby and toddler equipment available including a pushchair, baby bath, crib and high chair(s). Walk down to the village (about 15 minutes downhill) in the morning to get fresh croissants and baguettes from the boulangerie. Or take a longer walk (1.5km) from the house along the banks of the Loup River, through a lush forest to the beach at seaside Villeneuve-Loubet. Kids will enjoy jumping the small waves at the local beach, just 30 minutes’ drive. The area is family-friendly with two theme parks, outdoor activities and water sports.

Things to Know

Changeover day: Saturday from June to September, flexible otherwise. Check out: 10am. All bed linens and towels and an after-stay clean are included. Air conditioning is in the bedrooms and the main living area. Smoking is only permitted outside. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed on request at an additional cost of €30 per day for 1st pet and €15 per day for 2nd pet. Pets must not be left in the villa alone and are not allowed on the sofas, in the bedrooms or swimming pool. Young children will need supervision around the pool and on the balconies. Security deposit: €3000, refundable.

About the Location

This villa is in the countryside, within walking distance of Villeneuve-Loubet, Provence, situated between Monaco and Nice. The pretty village has a bakery, butcher, grocery store, bar and restaurants. The villa sits within 2 hectares of lush Mediterranean parkland and landscaped gardens, featuring numerous terraces, centennial olive trees and cypresses, eucalyptus and palm trees and oleanders. The Côte d’Azur is on the doorstep. You are 15 minutes from Nice Airport, 30 minutes from the sea, 5 minutes from Saint-Paul-de-Vence, while Cannes, Monaco and Grasse are all under half an hour away.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms spread over 2 floors. Step inside the door and you’ll find a large hallway, then a fully equipped kitchen (2 dishwashers, large American fridge, gas hob, microwave, oven, dining area, Nespresso machine, toaster). There is also a large open plan living and dining room with high ceilings and French doors opening onto a balcony and a 3.5m dining table seating up to 14 people. Bedroom 1 has 2 single / twin beds or 1 kingsize bed with an ensuite with a cast iron tub. Bedroom 2 has a kingsize 4-poster bed, TV and ensuite with Italian shower and bath tub. Bedroom 3 has 2 single / twin beds or 1 kingsize bed with an ensuite with a shower. Bedroom 4 has a kingsize bed, TV, ensuite with double sink and shower, French doors and terrace. Bedroom 5 is a kids’ room with a bunk bed sleeping 2. Bedroom 6 has a 4-poster bed, TV, ensuite and tub, French doors and a terrace. There is a separate WC and laundry room. Outside is a private swimming pool, pool house, poolside terrace, garden, BBQ grill, outdoor living room, outdoor dining area, covered terrace and patio.

Style Notes

Sophisticated Côte d’Azur living. This historic olive farm was converted into a residential villa in the 18th century and many aristocrats have since then enjoyed its beautiful setting, elegantly proportioned rooms and grand, high ceilings. It has remained in the same family for over 100 years and has recently been renovated to a high standard to offer modern comfort while keeping all of its original character. Bedrooms are tastefully curated with soft pastel linens, tiled floors and art prints. Many bathrooms have a stand-alone clawfoot bath with a view. The main living area is elegant and comfortable. We love the beautiful and peaceful grounds, the newly built pool house with a bar and dining table for relaxed lunchtime eating next to the pool, and the gorgeous outside dining space under old trees where you can watch the sun sink behind the mountains as you relax with your family and friends.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 12 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 12 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 12 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to make a booking (or full payment if booking within 12 weeks of arrival). If you have paid a deposit, the final balance is payable 12 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. Once this has been paid, it is non-refundable. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 10% of the booking total.
