Guests have full access to all of the resort amenities at Sea Horse Ranch, which has an equestrian center, tennis club, seaside swimming pools and beach club restaurant.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love playing and splashing in the pool, which is surrounded by a tropical garden and includes a raised outdoor hot tub. Two of the bedrooms are set up with 2 twin beds and are ideal for kids. It’s also all a short walk to the beach and to the resort facilities, which feature plenty of family-friendly places to play and get active, from tennis courts and horse riding to swimming pools overlooking the ocean. For young children, cribs, high chairs, a car seat, and a small bath for babies are included on request; nannies are available for extra cost.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. Safety notes: Young children will need extra supervision at this property. There are some interior and exterior elevated walkways between guest rooms and terraces that children need to be attended on. One of these is accessed from one of the twin guest rooms on the upper floor, the doors required to pass through for access to it can be closed and locked. The house's internal stairs are not gated. The pool is also not gated. Rates include a concierge service, daily maid service, a housekeeper and gardener, plus linens and towels. Additional services can be booked, including catering and a grocery shopping service - ask on booking for more information.

About the Location

The property is in the Sea Horse Ranch resort, close to Puerto Plata and around 15 minutes from Gregorio Luperon International Airport by car/ taxi. Airport pick up is available by arrangement. We recommend car hire for this residence; covered parking is available. Almond Beach is a 2-minute walk from the house and it is 10 minutes to the club area with another beach and pools. The Sea Horse Ranch resort includes seaside pools featuring caves, waterfalls and a smaller pool for children, and a playground and trampoline area.

Accommodation Details

This 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom villa is set over 2 stories. The ground floor comprises a large lounge with open staircase to the second floor, a large covered patio leaving to the swimming pool and garden, a large separate dining room and a custom kitchen. There is a primary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and access to the adjacent hot tub in a courtyard. There is one additional double bedroom with a kingsize bed and access to the hot tub on this floor. Upstairs, there are 3 further bedrooms, one with doors to the balcony. Two have set of twin beds, one has another kingsize bed. A focal point of this beautiful property is a covered outdoor gazebo facing the oversized swimming pool, which is perfectly suited for relaxing or swimming laps.

Tropical villa. This luxurious tropical space has a vaulted natural timber ceiling in the main living room, plus marble floors and a show stopping open staircase. Stand out features include the pool, spacious bedrooms and hotel-worthy bathrooms. The covered patio areas are great for relaxing out of the sunshine, while the garden and pool areas provide plenty of opportunities for kids to have fun. We love the location, the grand lounge and the easy access to beaches and resort facilities.

Cancellation policy
Villa payment is non-refundable. In the event of a hardship cancellation, Sea Horse Ranch reserves the right to make an exception. In such cases the renter may defer the rental for no more than 1 year, based on availability and rate of the same villa.

Sea Horse Ranch has been in existence since 1990. The Puerto Plata airport opened for business in 1985 and it has taken all these 30 years for the area to mature into what it is today. Sea Horse Ranch is conveniently located 10 km from the Puerto Plata airport between the towns of Sosua and Cabarete. Cabarete is only 8 minutes down the coast and is an endless source of entertainment most notably water sports and many waterfront restaurants. We have a vibrant community with 117 built homes, all unique and attractive in their design. 37% of homeowners reside here permanently; it is a thriving community all year round. We have homeowners from around the world as Cabarete in general is an international destination, with the main foreign language being English. We have 40% North Americans, 33% Europeans, and 17% Dominicans from either Santo Domingo or Santiago who have weekend homes here. The last 9% are from other various parts of the globe. It is a wonderful community to live in or vacation in, where many of the potentially challenging aspects about adjusting to life in the Dominican Republic are taken care of for you. This includes full time electricity, excellent security, and a full restaurant on the ocean with home delivery as well as a fully staffed onsite office that does concierge, rentals, property management and accounting. Of course there are additional amenities that are pay per service such as the Tennis, Equestrian Center, and Spa Services. Of course lifestyle is one of the major motivators for home ownership in the Dominican Republic. Homeowners and rental guests move about the Ranch, enjoying all that 250 acres has to offer. Kids run free in a way that reminds us of times gone by.
