This enchanting trullo house with a conical roof has a lovely garden with a private pool, table tennis and covered outdoor dining. It sleeps 5 + 1. Three bedrooms offer versatile accommodation with 2 separate shower rooms. The gardens offer 2 terraces, 1 next to the house and another near the pool – both have dining tables under pergolas so you can eat outside and enjoy local food at any time of day.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love the pool, which is large enough for all the family, and there’s also table tennis in the garden. A teenager or 3rd child has a single twin room to themselves. Although not on the coast, there are plenty of beautiful beaches about a 30-minute drive away including Torre Canne, Polignano a Mar and Cala Porta Vecchia. Also nearby is Zoo Safari Fasano that features a drive-through safari and shows.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Safety notes: the pool is ungated. Check in: 4pm to 8pm (supplement of €50 payable for check-in after 8pm), check out: 10am. An Italian tourist tax of around €1.50 per person (12+ years) applies and is charged locally. The hosts aim to provide uninterrupted WiFi but reliability may be affected due to factors beyond their control. A complimentary crib and highchair are available. Car hire, child seats and booster seats are available for an additional charge on request. To pre-book family extras please call the hosts. Heating €30-€50/day (payable locally). Bath and pool towels, washing machine, iron, ironing board and hairdryer are provided.

About the Location

This trullo is in the region of Valle d'Itriai in Puglia where you’ll find a rich cultural heritage and exceptional local produce. The local village of Alberobello is a UNESCO world heritage site that’s famous for its trulli houses. Also worth day trips are Martina Franca for its stunning Baroque architecture and music festival every July, and the hilltop Locorotondo with its winding streets, whitewashed houses decorated with colorful flowers and wine tours. The fascinating Castellana Caves are just 35 minutes by car where you can see underground caverns that are over 90 million years old. Fly into Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport (BRI) or Brindisi - Salento Airport (BDS).

Accommodation Details

This villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is on 1 level with no stairs. There is an open plan living / dining area with a TV and kitchen (oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher). The 3 bedrooms are: 1 full / double; 1 twin / single and a bedroom with 1 twin / single bed. There are 2 shower rooms. Outside is a garden with a private swimming pool 10m x 5m (depth 1.3m to 2.6m) with ladder access, 2 outdoor dining table under a pergola and a shaded area with lounge furniture.

Style Notes

Truly delightful. This trullo house is a traditional drystone house, originally built as a temporary residence by agricultural workers with a conical roof, making the trulli naturally cool in summer and warm in winter. Today, this trullo house has been restored with simple furnishings that allow the curving walls and limewashed walls to be the centrepiece. Pale stone tiled floors keep it cool underfoot. We love the vaulted ceilings that offer a light and airy living space, the 2 al fresco dining areas and the pretty gardens and pool area.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
If cancelled 61-300 days before arrival, 30% of the total booking amount will be retained as a cancellation fee. If cancelled 0 – 60 days before arrival, 100% charge of the total booking amount will be retained. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 10% of the booking total.
