Perks for the Parents

This beautiful family home in Queens Park, London comes with a kids’ garden house, spacious living areas and stunning interiors. It sleeps 7. This charming house was fully refurbished 2 years ago with family in mind, so there is lots of lateral living space. The kitchen is huge and filled with light so it’s a really enjoyable place to cook while keeping an eye on little ones. It has banquette seating for 8+ and a sofa area where you can relax after a busy day. There’s also a double reception room at the front of the house which is very cozy and quiet - a lovely place to retreat to. Parents will love the primary bedroom, decorated in neutral tones with a tranquil feel, which is very quiet both day and night. It has a super kingsize bed and is extremely spacious, with a very elegant ensuite bathroom and a large tub where you can truly relax.

Why Kids Love it

The house has a fantastic private garden which has a large soccer net and a new outdoor table tennis table. At the end of the garden is a 'garden house' which has a TV and games console, drum kit and mini fridge - perfect for older children and teenagers. There are toys and games in the garden house and the kitchen which guests are welcome to use during their stay. The beautiful Queens Park is at the end of the street, with a fantastic playground and a huge sandpit play area for toddlers, as well as a separate area for older kids, a little golf course and a petting zoo. There is also a recreation ground just a short walk away with a basketball court. Kids will love a trip to Regents Park for London Zoo or exploring the playgrounds and fountains in Hyde Park (both less than half an hour away).

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 6 nights. For summer holidays, longer stays of 2 weeks or more are preferred. Safety notes: the house is well set up for kids with no glass tables or sharp corners to worry about. The kitchen/living area can be separated from the main house with a child gate so that toddlers can run around safely (although there are no other stair gates in the house). The terrace and garden run from the kitchen with only two small steps onto the lawn. There is a laundry room with a washer/dryer and a housekeeper or babysitter can be arranged for your stay. The house comes with a dishwasher, children’s utensils, high chair, TV, games console and WiFi. There is no off-street parking available but car rental is not strictly essential - public transport is within easy reach and offers a regular service.

Playful elegance. This delightful home is colorful yet classic, with a real sense of considered interiors. Having been recently renovated, it feels spacious and uncluttered but still remains welcoming and cozy, thanks to the host’s choice of characterful details. There are books all over the house with a huge selection for both children and adults to enjoy. We are a family of four, with two kids who are 11 and 8. We've lived in the UK all our lives but love to travel.

Queen's Park & Kensal Rise, London

Classy streets and independent shops

Set beside a 12-hectare park of the same name, Queens Park in northwest London is known for its lovely high street, leafy streets and independent shops, just like its neighbor, Kensal Rise, which is linked by family-friendly residential streets. The journey into the city is easy - just 20 minutes by Tube - but you'll find lively eateries, cozy pubs and community events on your doorstep.

This house was so special and my family of 6 had a truly memorable week in London. My kids range in age from 6-16, so we needed to find something with enough space to be apart and be together. The layout, beauty and comfort of this home delivered. It was easy to get to London City Centre by bud or train and Emily was a gracious and helpful host. Would definitely remcommed!

We loved our stay in Queen's Park! It was perfect for our family of 3 adults and 3 children. Emily was a wonderful host, helpful with everything from accommodations to recommendations in the neighborhood and even helped me secure a reservation that I was unable to do on my own. The house is well kept and equipped with everything we needed for ease of international travel with children. The location and neighborhood is excellent. We took mostly Ubers and taxis due to Covid, but there are many public transportation options close by. The park is lovely with a walking path and playground. Many coffee houses, restaurants and food shops are a quick walk away. The beds are very comfortable. We had enough bathrooms for everyone. Plenty of space in the kitchen for sitting and eating. The kitchen was well equipped for any type of cooking you may want to do. We would happily stay at The Queens Park Residence again.
