Perks for the Parents

This colorful family home in Queen's Park has perks for all the family, from an architect-designed kitchen for parents to a music room and trampoline for kids. Set up with plenty of space to play and relax, not least in the glass kitchen extension, full of toys and games, the house is a riot of color and creativity with plenty to look at everywhere you go. The garden has a patio with bench-style designer table for outdoor eating; you can also watch the kids play in the garden from the kitchen area. There is a self-contained attic room with bath/shower and toilet, ideal for a nanny or au pair. There is so much to do nearby, from the fabulous green spaces of Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath to Dalston and the Olympic Park in the east. You can reach Harry Potter World by catching the Overground to Watford Junction direct from Kensal Rise; the overground has numerous connections to Central London, and you can still walk to Queen’s Park Tube, on the Bakerloo Line, in 15 minutes.

Why Kids Love it

The house is really well set up for children, with bags of personality and plenty of things to play with. The hosts provide toys and support creativity with plenty of art materials and paints. The lounge’s music area welcomes budding musicians with a bright blue piano and electric drum kit. There is a huge trampoline in the garden, ideal for summer; in the winter cosying up for a family movie with hot chocolate in front of a real roaring file after a long walk in Kew Gardens or Hampstead Heath is great fun. The huge living area has plenty of room for wheeled toys and learning to skateboard. All the kids bedrooms have a toilet nearby. If it's raining, there are plenty of books, family board games and a Playstation. The amazing Queen's Park Farmers Market is held every Sunday morning from 10am-2pm at Salisbury primary school and is fun to visit. Both Kensal Rise and Queen’s Park both have high streets where you will find lovely child-friendly shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.

Things to Know

We are a colourful family of 5 with passions including eating, travelling, music and the arts. We love the desert, the jungle and the mountains and love getting stuck into the 'real' world. We joined Kid and Coe as a great way to meet like minded families.
