Perks for the Parents

This cool and contemporary 5-bedroom villa, a few minutes’ walk from the shops, restaurants and golf course of beach resort Quinta do Lago, has a private pool and tranquil gardens. It sleeps up to 12 + 2. The villa is tucked away in its own secluded gardens, yet restaurants, shops and nightlife are within easy reach. Need to work while away? There’s super fast WiFi throughout the villa and 2 dedicated work areas in the snug and in a queensize bedroom. Extra luxuries such as chef, personal trainer or a private yacht rental can be arranged on request. The kitchen is a lovely open space with everything you need to cook some of the area’s famous seafood. Otherwise, wander into town to enjoy fresh, local cuisine with kid-friendly options.

Why Kids Love it

Older kids will enjoy the lovely bedroom with 2 good size single / twin beds – we love the cushions saying ‘You are magical’. They will have their own bathroom with a walk-in shower too. The villa is 100 meters’ walk to a playground, supermarket and ice-cream and a 5-minute drive to the kid-friendly beaches with soft sand and shallow waters. Some of the beaches have showers and changing rooms. There is a tennis camp available in the summer. Out and about, there’s plenty to do from watersports (kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing and waterskiing) to mini-golf, theme parks and adventure parks such as Zoomarine with water slides, wave pools and animal shows.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights in July & August with a Saturday changeover day; 2 nights at other times. Check-in via a code provided to you prior to arrival. There is plenty of car parking space at the property. Please note that there are several balconies including an ungated drop at the top of the stairs that makes this villa unsuitable for those with children under 8. There is no bath tub at the property. The villa has cable TV with English and international channels. 2 hours of daily cleaning included Monday to Saturday, with no cleaning on Sunday. Bath and beach towels and bedding are supplied. This villa would be particularly suitable for people with reduced mobility as 4 of the bedroom suites are located on the first / ground floor, although there are a few sets of small interior steps on the first/ ground floor. There is 24 hour/day security around the resort complex.

About the Location

Located in the center of beachside resort of Quinta do Lago in the Algarve, south Portugal. Faro airport (FAO) is under 30 minutes by taxi and airport transfer can be arranged on request. The resort is close to some of the most family-friendly beaches in the Algarve including Praia do Ancao and Praia do Garrao. Outdoor activities include golf, tennis, horseback riding, kayaking, and paddleboarding, among others. You’ll be a short stroll from a golf club, sports club, supermarket, medical center, a spa, shops, coffee lounges and great beach restaurants such as Bovinos and Casa do Lago. The nearby Ria Formosa Nature Reserve allows families to explore the natural beauty of the Algarve with hiking and cycling trails, bird watching, and boat tours.

Accommodation Details

This villa has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms and is on 2 floors. As you enter you’ll find an open plan kitchen (fridge/freezer, microwave, hob, oven, coffee machine and a central island with breakfast bar), utility room with washer and dryer and a den with a sofa and TV. Doors lead out to the terrace, pool and gardens where there is an outdoor dining table seating 14 and a BBQ. The living room has cable TV and a fireplace with access to the terrace overlooking the garden. All bedrooms are ensuite with walk-in showers and 4 are on this floor. These are 1 kids’ room with 2 small double beds; 1 queensize and 2 full / double. Upstairs is the primary suite a queensize four poster bed and bathroom, door to a private balcony and a walk-in dressing room.

Style Notes

Cosmopolitan chic. You can’t help but feel cheerful in this light and bright renovated villa with large open living spaces and picture windows to the gardens. The double height living room is impressive with a sweeping staircase, large palms in pots dotted around and a large blue sectional to cozy up in front of an open fire or TV. There’s also the snug (perfect for kids) with more sofas and a TV and fireplace. Wooden beams cross the ceiling and floor are tiled or wood and strewn with understated elegant rugs. The primary suite has anMykonos vibe with white and blue linens on a four-poster frame and its own sofa and balcony for morning coffee or late night cocktails. We love the light-filled white kitchen with vintage Portuguese tiles on the breakfast bar, the unusual circular pool, and the contemporary interior.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We are a family of 5 and we love travel , every year we go skiing and travel around Europe during the short school breacks during summer or Christmas holidays we travel to Asia , África , EEUU .... The KIDS enjoy it a lot . I like KIDS&COE becouse as a Family of 5 i always find it dificult to find a nice hotel with enough big roms and acordarle , and KIDS&COE makes it very easy with wonderfull properties all around the world .
