This beautifully renovated Hamptons home south of the highway has roomy interiors, a playroom, heated pool and is within easy biking distance to the Village of Quogue and several ocean beaches. It sleeps 14 + 2. The house is fully equipped with everything a family needs to enjoy a beach vacation. Parents who like to work out will find a Peleton bicycle, free weights and a yoga mat provided in the fitness room. The fenced backyard area and pool are completely private. The house is within easy biking distance to the charming downtown Quogue.

Why Kids Love it

The pool is the obvious draw here, but kids will also love the cozy playroom under the eaves that’s loaded with Legos, Nerf guns, a foosball table, Xbox, flat screen TV and other toys. Teenagers can spread out in the spacious bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, so there’s no need to share. Older children with enjoy the freedom of biking around the safe and sleepy village to explore the public library and elementary school playground, or to grab an ice cream at the charming Quogue Market. Family-friendly Quogue Village Beach is within easy reach.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 weeks, starting July 1 to August 31. Safety notes: the pool area can be fenced off from the house with an additional baby gate if required. There is a circular driveway with a parking space on the side of the house for an extra vehicle. Linens and towels are provided. On the main floor is a laundry room with an LG washer and dryer. There is air conditioning in 2 zones. Bicycles for adults and kids are available for guests to use. There is also a double kayak to explore the water. A double sofabed, an air bed and 2 cribs can host another 4 adults and 2 babies if required.

About the Location

This residence, just outside Quogue Village in The Hamptons, New York is within walking distance from the Hamptons Jitney bus stop and a 5-minute drive from Westhampton LIRR train station. Drive direct from NYC and you’ll be here in 1 hour, 45 mins approx. The location ‘South of the Highway’ allows for easy biking to Quogue Market, shops and ocean beaches. You’ll be within striking distance of Westhampton Beach (5 mins by car) and its shops, restaurants and cultural attractions, plus the upscale shopping, fine dining and boutiques of Southampton (25 mins).

Accommodation Details

This 4500 sq ft residence has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms (5 full and 2 half bathrooms) and is arranged over 2 floors. On the main floor is a state-of-the-art, eat-in kitchen that’s fully equipped (2 full-size dishwashers, Nespresso machine, Vitamin blender) with French doors to the covered deck and patio with gas BBQ. There’s a large living room with a gas fire, a powder room, and a formal dining room seating 12. Three bedrooms are on this floor: 2 queensize, both have ensuite bathrooms with a tub and walk-in shower; and 1 twin daybed with an ensuite half bathroom. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms: 1 kingsize primary suite with custom closets and ensuite bathroom with double sinks and walk-in shower and 1 queensize with an ensuite walk-in shower. There’s also a large kids’ playroom with 2 twin / single beds, a foosball table and entertainment center. Outside is a heated gunite pool and full guest bathroom with curbless, walk-in shower and a wet bar.

Style Notes

Beach chic. This Hamptons residence is stylishly furnished with contemporary pieces and French antiques. A collection of captivating large-scale photography and other art adorn the walls. In the cavernous living room, a pair of deep, velvet bucket seats for lounging are positioned in front of the fire, while stacks of books and a propeller add visual interest. Bedroom furnishings are brand-new, and the newly renovated bathrooms have custom oak vanities and stone while white oak wood and terracotta floors run throughout. We love the upstairs primary suite with custom closets, a built-in desk overlooking the greenery in the backyard, and its ensuite with gorgeous Bianco Bello stone floors. We also love the garden, pool and the super location.

When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Quiet beaches and a stellar nature reserve

This lovely beach town with a nature reserve on the doorstep has been described as the most ‘unhampton’ town in the area, largely for its easy-going style and lack of glitzy hang out spots. Shop in the few local boutiques or at the local market, play at the quiet, family-friendly beach, and wander six miles of trails at the Quogue Wildlife Reserve, where you’ll also find rescued animals and weekly yoga classes.
