About the Location

The Trevi neighborhood is flooded with tourists for a reason - it's beautiful, oh so Roman, and easily accessible by foot. Cobblestones can be tough with a stroller so if you're traveling with an infant you might consider packing a baby carrier too. Take a 20-minute stroll further afield to the Pantheon, and then on to Piazza Navona (5-minutes from Pantheon by foot), and Campo dei Fiori (another 5 minutes from Piazza Navona) where you can pick up fresh produce for your apartment from the daily market. Rome's impressive Termini train station is only a 10-minute cab ride to the Barberini apartments. Fiumicino Airport is a 45-minute journey by cab.

Style Notes

Modern Scandinavian meets classical Roman. The contemporary design of these apartments somehow feels right at home in this traditional Roman apartment building. Intricate parquet flooring and ribbed ceilings lend warmth and coziness to all the clean lines. Enormous windows bathe all the apartments in gorgeous light and if you're lucky enough to snag a unit with outdoor space you can dine alfresco as the Romans do. We love the fully equipped kitchens, private outdoor spaces, and chic interiors.

Rome, Italy

Gladiators and gelateria

No matter what age your children are, they will love a trip to Rome. Gazing up at the ceiling in the Pantheon, marvelling at Michaelangelo’s masterpiece in the Vatican, putting their hands in the Mouth of Truth and, most of all, working out precisely which is the best gelateria in the city, are the types of adventure they will talk about for years to come. The ancient ruins of the Forum and the Colosseum bring out the inner child in everyone, while trattoria serve up the kind of pasta that even the fussiest eater couldn’t refuse. Whether as a start point to an Italian adventure or a city break on its own, Rome promises a stay to remember.
