This luxurious converted farmhouse with pool has a full-time house manager, sleeps up to 12 (max), and is surrounded by fields and views of the mountains. Just five minutes from the lovely town of Ronda, it has 6 double ensuite bedrooms, 5 of which can be converted to twin bed rooms, plus a further single bedroom. We love the hammocks, banks of lavender, sunshine and fabulous pool, and slow pace of life in this lovely Spanish region. Spend time walking in the mountains, visiting pretty white villages in the hillsides and eating fantastic fresh regional food. Or just lounge by the pool and relax...

What we love

  • It’s a beautiful spot, with views of the mountains, surrounded by 14 acres of gardens with fruit trees and paddocks of white horses
  • The full-time housekeeper lives at the end of the drive and can help arrange extras including walking lessons, horse riding and yoga classes
  • Renata, the housekeeper, speaks Spanish, English, German and Portuguese and provides a full concierge service at cost price. From restaurant bookings to private chefs, flamenco dancers, cycle hire and interpreting, she's on call to help with everything you might need during your stay
  • The pool area is fantastic, with a solar-heated pool, loungers, hammocks, wicker loungers with plump white cushions and an alfresco dining area
  • It has 6 double ensuite bedrooms, 5 of which can be converted to twin bed rooms, plus a further single bedroom
  • The furnishings are beautiful: white walls, white linen, tiled floors and tranquility throughout
  • It’s cool in the summer, thanks to the decor and fans, and warm in the winter with roaring fires and underfloor heating
  • There’s a library of books and CDs to borrow while you’re staying, and Freeview TV with 250 channels to surf, plus toys, books and games

Things to know

  • The residence is 5-10 minutes from Ronda and 1.5 hours from Jerez, Seville and Malaga
  • The closest airports are in Malaga and Seville (1.5 hours away by car)
  • Car hire is strongly recommended - note that the drive is along winding mountain roads
  • Five of the bedrooms (4 doubles and 1 single) are upstairs while there is a single bedroom downstairs
  • A pre-arrival grocery shop can be booked, as can extra cleaning and a breakfast service
  • A crib and high chair are available
  • Extra services bookable for an additional fee include: cooking, airport transfers, babysitting, yoga lessons, Thai yoga massage, walking guides, horse riding and Flamenco evenings
  • There are stair gates and the pool area is gated
  • The residence has fans in each bedroom and Spanish-style shutters on all windows to keep it cool, plus mosquito nets, but no a/c
  • The pool is solar-heated and open Spring-late Autumn

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

A bucolic and beautiful retreat. We had a wonderful stay with 3 generations. Rare to find such a capsule of the simple life. Swim, eat, drink, laze, bathe in what is now my favourite bath in Europe. A testament to Mike's style and taste - a special thank you to Renata and her team for their warmth and attentiveness. Go see Frank at the wonderful restaurant in the village.
