This beautifully renovated Sag Harbor farmhouse has a pool, is in the village an easy walk from the beach and sleeps up to 10. It’s a wonderful place for kids with a large enclosed garden with saltwater pool, lawns and trees, and three light-filled living spaces inside including a TV room. The downstairs part of the house is laid out like a small apartment with a bedroom and living space, while upstairs there are three bedrooms and a further lounge and family kitchen. It’s a soothing, sophisticated Hamptons retreat, with unique touches including driftwood sculptures and cow horns. We love the space, the location and the opportunity for family fun. Don't miss the Children's Museum at Sag Harbor turnpike nearby.

What we love

  • Wonderful garden with lawn and saltwater pool, surrounded by loungers and trees
  • Sunny deck with views of the garden and a dining area, just off the kitchen on the upper floor
  • Shaded lower terrace at the edge of the garden
  • Upstairs, the master Bedroom has its own bathroom and tub and 2 further guest bedrooms that share the 2nd bathroom
  • We love the 'apartment' downstairs, the second master bedroom which has an ensuite bathroom and its own terrace to the pool and backyard
  • Large lounge on the upper floor with wooden floors, cream sofas and doors to the terrace - it really feels as if you are sitting in a Tree House!

We really enjoyed our stay in Tani's house. Great location. Loved the front and rear yards. Nice big kitchen / living / dining room. Layout worked perfectly for our 1,3, and 5 year olds. Would definitely rent again!

Sag Harbor, The Hamptons

Sailboats, shopping and the sea

It’s hard to believe this quaintly charming village was once an international port, but Sag Harbor’s whaling history put it firmly on the map as a commercial center. These days, you can get a taste of what life was like at the Whaling Museum, or walk the historic lanes around Main Street dotted with galleries, independent boutiques and 18th century captains’ homes, before strolling past the sailboats in the harbor itself.
