Head to this fully renovated Hamptons home for luxurious new interiors, a heated swimming pool and plenty of toys and books to entertain the kids. It sleeps up to 9 + 1. A home made for gathering, this house has lots of space and areas to hang out, where families can relax alone or get together with friends. The outdoor area is shielded by trees and a nature reserve so it feels very private and secluded, even though you still are super close to Sag Harbor. The covered porch features a large couch to hang out on and enjoy your morning coffee or watch the kids as they play on the large playset. The heated pool is fully fenced in for extra peace of mind and gets sunlight almost the whole day, while the hot tub is ideal for late evening wind-downs after a day at the beach.
Why Kids Love it
This house was built and designed with kids in mind. There are plenty of toys and books for kids aged 18 months to 6 years. The kid rooms are spacious, colorful and inviting, with a fun climb-up bunk and cool space wall mural, stocked with toys to entertain kids from dawn to dusk. Both kids rooms also have blackout shades for an undisturbed early bedtime and naps.The backyard features a brand new giant playset, soccer goals, ride-on toys and endless space to run around and play. You can easily spend the whole day between the playset and pool, or venture out to the sandy beaches, or into Sag Harbor village, where kids will love the giant one-of-a-kind playground.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 14 nights. Cleaning, electric and propane gas (for pool heat) will be charged in addition, based on the usage. Security deposit (10% of the rental) will also be charged. Safety notes: the pool is heated and has a safety fence around it. Stairs can be gated on request. The house has a Sonos sound system, as well as a 2-zone central heating and cooling system (powered by Nest). All linens, bath towels and pool towels are provided. An additional twin and double bed can be placed in the house on request. There is a Peleton bike which can be moved to whatever room you like. Southampton’s Jitney stop and train stations are both 15 minutes away for access to the city. New York City airports are around 2 - 2.5 hours away.
About the Location
The house is located in Sag Harbor, known by many as the heart of the Hamptons. This is where something is always happening, from art fairs to a music festival or the weekly farmers market, playgrounds and parks and an endless list of amazing restaurants. The house is close to all of this but still far enough away to guarantee the privacy and quiet you would want for your summer family vacation. Sag Harbor village is 15 minutes’ drive; Bridgehampton is 12 minutes’ drive; Water Mill is 10 minutes’ drive. It’s 20 minutes from the ocean beach and 10 minutes to Long Beach (perfect for kids as it’s on the Bay). Fun family days out can be found at the CMEE children’s museum (15-20 minutes), the Goat on a Boat Puppet theater, or experiencing live music at the Wolffer Estate Vineyard.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (plus a powder room on the first floor), set over 2 floors. Downstairs, there’s a large guest suite with a queensize bed outfitted with a memory foam mattress - ideal for grandparents or nannies and au pairs. This room also has its own entrance from the front porch. Open to the formal entryway is the library, with lots of books and a frame TV. The large living room boasts high ceilings and is the perfect place to host guests for drinks before you stroll out onto the porch for a dinner. The kitchen features a large kitchen island with 4 stools and a dining nook that easily seats 8. Upstairs, the second floor offers the primary bedroom with a tempurpedic king size mattress. This room is luxuriously spacious, with a fireplace, walk-in closet, spa-like bathroom and access to the great balcony overlooking the backyard. On this level you will also find an ensuite bedroom with another king size bed, a TV and a large desk for Zoom Meetings or some WFH paper work. The room features a large balcony on which you can great the morning sun and a gorgeous bathroom. This floor also has 2 kids bedrooms: one with a bunk bed (with high quality organic mattresses by 5Monkeys) and the other furnished with a crib and a large sitting pouf that can turn into a twin mattress, ideal for kids ages 2 and up. Both rooms share a fun and colorful bathroom which has a European-style bathtub with shower. The crib can easily be exchanged for a twin size bed.
Style Notes
Fresh and light. The house is colorful and inviting, with high ceilings in the living space to create an elevated feeling of space and all-new bathrooms for hotel-style levels of luxury. The interior design has been crafted with European flair and style, combined with functionality for families. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need on a daily basis, from a toaster oven, drip and Nespresso machine to a Thermomix (all in wonder kitchen machine from Germany). It is inviting, open and personal, all wrapped into one. Most of the furniture is brand new and the paint colors look fresh and inviting in elegant dusky shades and chic neutrals. We love the beautiful large-scale blue floral rug, the nautical-inspired kids bathroom and the open gallery staircase.
