Why Kids Love it

While there are no toys or books for little kids here, it’s a great location for exploring the family-friendly sights of the city. You’ll find a little park and playground at the end of the street, as well as a fun vernacular to take you up to the viewing points at Sacré-Cœur (around 15 minutes’ walk away). Kids will love exploring the World of Banksy Expo (10 minutes’ walk) or the Metiers Museum of Science, Art & Technology (20 minutes by subway).

Things to Know

No pets, parties or smoking.The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which you are required to sign and submit. There is a baby crib available if required, to sleep an infant. The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of the building, with an elevator up to the entrance. Please note that the dining room doors lead directly out on to the balcony.

About the Location

The apartment is located in the heart of the Saint-Georges district in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. It’s less than 5 minutes’ walk to Saint-Georges subway station. It’s 15 minutes’ walk north to the romantic streets of Montmatre and Sacré-Cœur cathedral, or 15 minutes’ walk south to the Palais Garnier. The airport is around 1 hour away by train or 45 minutes by car.

Accommodation Details

The property has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all set on 1 floor. The living areas have a traditional layout, with a separate living room, dining room and kitchen (which also has a breakfast bar). The primary bedroom boasts a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bathroom also has a walk-in shower, and there are 2 additional separate WCs. Bedroom 2 features a kingsize bed; bedroom 3 features a double sofabed.

Style Notes

Ornate elegance. This apartment is jam-packed with classical Parisian features, from the ceiling coving and parquet flooring to the beautiful stained glass windows and the decadent gold cornicing. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood in (and frame the intricate balcony metalwork) while extensive wall paneling adds to the traditional style. We love the spectacular living room chandelier, the beautiful marble fireplaces and the super sleek contrasting monochrome kitchen.

Shopping and the opera

This right bank neighborhood is well known for its fabulous department stores and the Paris Opera. Montmartre is within strolling distance, rue des Martyrs, with its fantastic foodie shops, is close by and there are easy links to the other key parts of the city, making this a neighborhood that works for a long or short stay. Tip: don't just browse the Grands Magasins - head up to their rooftop terraces for a glittering view of the city.
