This property offers a luxurious take on the classic Provencal vacation villa: parents can choose from the ground floor primary suite, or the upstairs kingsize bedroom where there’s a separate stylish decked terrace, perfect for a quiet escape from the kids. There’s enough room for families traveling with grandparents or a nanny and a fantastic open plan kitchen/dining/living space that’s ideal for at-home cooking and entertaining.

Why Kids Love it

The whole family will love the covered shaded terrace, where you can relax outdoors without the glare of the sun for lazy afternoons. The large garden is great for playing games outside, and the heated pool is in view from the house so you can keep an eye on kids who want to swim all day. Saint-Rémy is a great village for families, with a small playground, carousel, an ice cream parlor and an animal park nearby (L’Arche de Meo, 15 minutes’ drive). Parents with babies can rent additional equipment on request, including a crib, linens or a high chair.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Bookings in July and August run from Saturday to Saturday. Tourist tax to be paid directly to the host on arrival (5.76€ pppn). Safety notes: the 5 x 11m pool is secured by a rolling shutter but there are sliding doors leading outside from multiple areas so younger children should be supervised downstairs. Parking is available for 1 car in the garage and 1 car outside - car rental is recommended to explore the area. The property is managed by an agency in France who act as a concierge during your stay: they can advise places to go, local restaurants to try, shopping deliveries, at-home treatments, arrange housekeeping, babysitting, chef services, excursions or equipment rental. All the bedrooms have air conditioning. Sorry - no pets.

About the Location

This residence is located just 10 minutes’ walk from the center of Saint-Rémy, one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. The village is filled with traditional bakeries, local weekly markets, restaurants and an art gallery. There’s also some historic sites to explore nearby, including the archaeological site of Glanum and the Cloister of St Paul de Mausole. This region has plenty of routes for hiking, climbing, canoeing, cycling and horse riding, so it’s great for families who love the outdoors. Visit the postcard-perfect sights of Luberon (1 hour), Avignon (half an hour) or Aix-en-Provence (1 hour). The nearest train station is in Avignon and the closest international airport is Marseilles (around 1 hour away by car).

Accommodation Details

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. Downstairs, there’s a large open plan living and dining room and a modern kitchen with an eat-in breakfast bar. This floor also has a garage, a laundry room and a separate WC. The primary kingsize suite on this floor features an ensuite bathroom (plus tub) and overlooks the patio. Upstairs, the left side has a double twin room and a kingsize bedroom which share a bathroom. On the right side, there’s a kingsize ensuite bedroom with a private terrace. Outside, there’s a pool house, summer kitchen, sun loungers around the pool and an outdoor dining area, as well as a large wooded garden.

Modern villa. The minimalist interiors here look clean and contemporary, with a super sleek integrated kitchen leading seamlessly to the living space. The floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors flood the rooms with light, highlighting the pared-back neutral tones and showing off the contrasting black fixtures. Each window and door frames another perfectly-styled outdoor space, creating multi-aspect views from every angle. We love the laid-back outdoor kitchen/bar, the industrial-inspired black ceiling light in the dining room and the eye-catching photographic artwork.

Payment policy
30% deposit to be paid on booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. There is a city tax of 4.40€/per adult to be paid in cash upon arrival.
Cancellation policy
A cancellation within a period of more than 90 days will be invoiced for the amount of the deposit paid. Cancellation between 30 and 90 days from the start of the rental will result in the invoicing of 50% of the total amount of the period concerned. Except in cases of force majeure recognized by law, a cancellation reported within less than 30 days will be charged 50% + 1.67% per day elapsed from the 30th day to the date of cancellation. The home was so beautiful , modern and clean. Our family of 5 enjoyed the space and all the connections from indoor to outdoor. We loved everything about it and the easy access to fresh air with many terraces, outdoor seating and covered areas for when it’s too hot or raining. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
