With a whimsical gypsy caravan parked up in the back yard, a swing suspended from a plane tree and a series of wonderful, colorful rooms inside, this mansion 2 minutes’ drive from the centre of Saint Rémy de Provence is a sensational place to stay. Ideal for a large family or 2 families traveling together, there is enough space to offer everyone privacy. There is a full kitchen and a family sized dining area indoor and out. The main living space is centered around a fireplace and has luxury sofas and seating areas for multiple groups. There is 1 ensuite bedroom, 4 further bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in total.

Why Kids Love it

There is plenty of space to play, with a large garden and a long swimming pool. The kids bedrooms are fun and playful, including a bedroom with a loft bed and a sofa bed beneath it, and there is an option of sleeping in the gypsy caravan in a day bed. The location is great for kids - a gentle walk even for little legs into Saint Rémy to visit restaurants, bakeries and grocery shops. The house is equipped with video on demand, a piano and TV sets. There are numerous books and toys and a wide range of DVDs to watch. Bikes are available and there are some easy cycle routes nearby.

Things to Know

The price listed is for the use of 4 of the bedrooms only. If guests require use of the further 2 bedrooms, please contact the host for accurate pricing. Minimum stay: 5 days during low season, 7 days during medium and high seasons. Tourist tax is not included and should be paid directly to the host on arrival (approximately 4EUR per adult per night, depending on location). The house is very safe for children. The pool is secured with an automatic roller shutter and the house is fully fenced. There is parking for up to 5 cars.The large pool (14 x 6 m) is heated. The village is reachable by bike within 10 minutes (bikes are provided) or by car in 2 minutes. The gypsy caravan is a play space, not a sleeping space. Welcome basket for kids and adults provided.

About the Location

The residence is 2 minutes by car to the village of Saint Rémy de Provence in one of the most beautiful parts of the south of France. It is approximately 40 minutes from Marseille airport, which has car hire options; the host can also arrange a driver to pick you up on request. Saint Rémy is a charming town with a Wednesday weekly market and many child friendly restaurants and cafés.

Accommodation Details

This Provencal farmhouse is set over 2 levels on 450sqm and has 6 bedrooms (all with Air Conditioning), a spacious kitchen, a large living room with fireplace and a piano, a small summer kitchen, a heated pool (14 x 6m) and a beautiful large garden with gypsy caravan, a variety of breakout areas and lawns. The bedrooms include: a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and queensize bed, 4 bedrooms each with a full/double bed and 1 twin bedroom. There are also 4 further bathrooms that have baths and showers. A travel crib is available on request.

We love the spacious living room, the gorgeous garden with lavender, lawns and outdoor sofas, and the hanging wicker chair in the outdoor dining area.

30% of the total cost of the stay is paid on booking acceptance if the check in date is more than 60 days away. If the check in date is 60 days or less, 100% of the total cost of the stay is to be paid on booking acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Up to 60 days prior to arrival, 30% of the total amount is non-refundable. Between 60 days and date of arrival, if the client cancels, full payment is still required.

A lovely home. We enjoyed our stay. Amelie was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had and, very graciously, provided all the baby equipment we needed including high chair, pack and play, bath ring and changing pad. The highlight of the trip was Patchy the cat (who lives on the property) who my daughters are still talking about. Saint Remy was a good base to explore Provence. (We would not walk to town with our little ones - a little far and no path - but it was a very close and easy drive). Plenty of supermarkets nearby so easy to stock the house. Thank you for a great stay.

I booked the house after seeing the beautiful photos but Mas des Jardins was even more stunning in person! Saint Remy is a very small, yet cute town. We did some small side trips but really just enjoyed our time at the house - my 2 year old daughter was very content to just play on the grounds all day. We loved the gypsy caravan, rope swing and enjoyed many lazy afternoons by the pool. The house came equipped with high chairs, a crib, and children's plates and utensils. Everything was very toddler friendly. Amelie was very accommodating and met us for the checkin and checkout process. Communication before and during our stay was very easy via email/text. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the residence. We can't wait to return for another stay soon!
