This classic Provencal house in the heart of Saint Remy is steps from the bakery and grocery store with a small pool and plenty to discover nearby. The house features 3 ensuite bedrooms and is fully air conditioned, a must in the summer. Not overlooked and totally secure, the 150 sqm house is in a calm environment with no street noise. The compact courtyard offers a little outdoor space and a plunge pool, and the living room has a TV and kids DVDs. It is a great location in the heart of the village, with Provence on the doorstep: Arles is 20 minutes away, Avignon 15 minutes and Aix-en-Provence an hour away.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will feel at home in the villa, which is set up so you can enjoy village life in one of the most characterful and beautiful villages in the region. There is a playground very nearby and there are many shops around. Kids can play safely in the narrow streets around and in front of the city hall where there is a fountain. The house has a small heated pool (4 x 4 m) ideal for children and for an enjoyable dip in the hot summer months. Saint Rémy village is very safe for kids and teenagers and there are many activities to choose from, including horse riding, art classes, cooking classes, climbing, fishing, going to the beach and more.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days during low and mid season, 7 nights in summer from Saturday to Saturday, but please enquire as there may be flexibility. Tourist tax is not included and should be paid directly to the host on arrival (approximately 4EUR per adult per night, depending on location). Note that the pool is not gated but is raised - children should be supervised around the courtyard. The house is safe and secure and the hosts can provide all equipment to ensure a safe stay with young children: stair gates, crib, travel crib, baby bathtub, toys and a nanny. There is a children playground, 5 minutes’ walk from the house, and all shops are within a 2-minute walk. There is a private parking place; car rental is recommended for getting the best of Provence.

About the Location

The residence is in the center of Saint Remy with everything, from shops to art galleries, restaurants and the local playground a 2-5 minute walk away. The local area is charming and great for kids. The beautiful towns of Arles, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are all under an hour away, as are the famous vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape. Avignon airport is 30 minutes’ drive; Nimes airport is 40 minutes away and Marseilles airport is 1 hour away. Eurostar stops in Avignon, 30 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

This beautiful village house has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has a living and dining room with table for 8 guests, a well equipped kitchen and a laundry room on the ground floor. The upper floor has 3 bedrooms, all with an ensuite shower bathroom. Two bedrooms have queensize beds and 1 has 2 twin beds. There is also a pretty courtyard and small heated pool, plus a private parking space.

Style Notes

Classic cottage. This pretty house is bright and light, with original stone walls and cool tiled floors plus a mix of antiques and modern furnishings. All used materials for its renovation were carefully chosen and include marble, stone, and oak. We love the beautiful ceilings in the bedrooms - one high and airy, the other with original beams - along with the stellar location, sleek bathrooms and the shaded courtyard.

30% of the total cost of the stay is paid on booking acceptance if the check in date is more than 60 days away. If the check in date is 60 days or less, 100% of the total cost of the stay is to be paid on booking acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Up to 60 days prior to arrival, 30% of the total amount is non-refundable. Between 60 days and date of arrival, if the client cancels, full payment is still required.
