Perks for the Parents
A beautiful Provencal home in Saint Remy with 1300m2 of landscaped gardens, a private pool and a fun kids bedroom. It sleeps 13 + 1. The house has 2 full kitchens and group-sized dining areas, so it’s ideal for 2 families to share. The garden is large enough for kids to play ball games outside, and there are plenty of lounging and dining spots around the pool where you can keep an eye on little ones as they splash around. The picturesque village of Saint Remy is just 3 minutes’ drive and there are spectacular views of the Alpilles mountains just across the street.
Why Kids Love it
The home is a great family space with a living room large enough for wheeled toys. The children’s bunk room is bright and colorful, and the hosts can provide a crib, high chair, baby toys and a baby bath on request. It’s a short drive from local playgrounds in Saint Remy, where there are many activities to choose from including horse riding, art classes, cooking classes, climbing, fishing and more.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 3-5 nights, usually 7 days in high season. Safety notes: the house is safe and secure, totally fenced. The 10m x 4m swimming pool is protected by an alarm. Outside there is also a Petanque Pitch, a kitchen area and plancha at the pool. There is a private parking for 4 cars and car rental is recommended to explore the region.
About the Location
The house is located just 3 minutes’ drive from the village of Saint Remy in Provence. The village has a choice of bakeries, restaurants, Roman ruins and a children’s playground. You can cycle or hike to the Crau plateau and walking trails, along the canal to reach Eyragues or Eygalières. It’s close to exceptional natural sites such as Les Baux de Provence or the Vaccarès pond. Arles is 30 minutes by car while the beaches of Saintes Maries de la Mer, capital of the Camargue, are only 1 hour away. Aix en Provence and Marseille are also an hour's drive away, while Avignon and its TGV station are only 25 minutes away.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. The property is divided into 2 areas: the main house with the kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms (1 kingsize, 1 queensize, both with air conditioning) and a children’s bedroom with bunk beds. The second area is a separate annex with 2 bedrooms (1 queensize room and a double queensize room upstairs). There are also 2 spacious living areas and 2 beautiful terraces for outdoor dining, so it’s ideal for 2 families to share. There is a family bathroom with shower and bathtub for the children and a laundry room which separates the 2 parts of the house.
Style Notes
Traditionally Provencal. This century-old residence is a former post house, which has been completely renovated by its owners. Bright, light, modern and sophisticated, the house has playful pastel color accents and design touches including comfortable velvet sofas and a spacious living room with a feature fireplace. We love the unique light fixtures over the dining table, the ‘shabby chic’ French-style giant headboards and the mix of patterned textiles adding splashes of color.

Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Provence
Artists, sunshine and good living
Twelve miles south of Avignon, this beautiful Provençal village embodies all that is great about the area; art, good living and sunshine. Vincent Van Gogh lived here for a time; it’s also the birthplace of Nostradamus. Explore the Roman ruins nearby after browsing chocolate shops and playing in rivers beside flower-filled meadows.
