Part of a small group of 5 homes, all centered around an iconic pool and courtyard, these one-of-a-kind vacation homes are ideal for exploring Saint Simon’s Island and experiencing southern hospitality at its best. You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen, but it’s just a short walk to eateries and restaurants so you won’t have to cook every day during your stay - you can even ask the host to stock the fridge before you arrive.

Why Kids Love it

Kids of all ages will love the cool, fun interiors here, as well as the vibrant pool area - heated in the cooler seasons for year-round comfort - and visiting the area's family-friendly sandy beaches. Getting around by bike or by golf cart (ask the host for details on how to rent) is fun for all ages, but there's also plenty to do on foot: grab milkshakes down the street at Frosty's, head to the water park at Neptune Park or explore the historic lighthouse museum.

Things to Know

Minimum age to rent is 25 - this will be strictly enforced. Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM. The pool is shared with the 4 other vacation homes within the estate: they can be booked all together to sleep a total of 26 guests. The host has another home on the island, The Fig House Residence, which is one of the most-booked properties on Kid & Coe with fantastic guest reviews. View the other 4 properties in the estate: The Ivy Residence, The Fig Park Residence, The Jasmine Park Residence, The Wisteria Residence. All guests are required to sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the rental agreement is signed. This property only allows service dogs with proper documentation (no other pets) and is non-smoking. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Car rental is useful but not essential.

About the Location

The estate is located right next to Mallery Park in Saint Simon's Island. It's a short walk from a pizza place, burger restaurant and pubs, and 10 minutes' walk to the Pier. Down at the pier you'll find a public library, an outdoor kids splash pool, a visitor's center and the island's lighthouse. It's less than 5 minutes' drive to either Hamilton Street or 11th Street Beaches and there's a skate park on the island, just over 1 mile away. One of the best ways to get around is by bike or golf cart rental, which can be arranged with the host. The local airport is 5 minutes' drive; Atlanta airport is around 4 hours away.

Accommodation Details

The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It has 2 bedrooms with kingsize beds, 2 bedrooms which each have 1 twin bed + 1 double, sleeping 3 in each. The hosts can provide a pack-and-play or travel crib for babies and toddlers. The shared pool is gated and the 5 homes all share the central courtyard.

Style Notes

Colorful Mid-Century Bungalow. Set under idyllic oak trees covered in Spanish Moss, all the homes on the estate are decorated with bright pops of color on a clean white palette, creating a soft tropical environment to mirror the beachy, relaxed location. Hints of mid-century styling can be seen in the gold-trimmed furnishings, while Miami-style blues and pinks add a subtle art deco theme. We love the black-and-white striped pool umbrellas, the pink front doors and the fun mix of textiles.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 50% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 30 days away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 30 days before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 30 days away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel your reservation, please note that for cancellations made 30 days or more prior to check-in date, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to check-in date, no refund will be provided. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
Terms and conditions
No smoking is allowed in any units - all properties are completely non-smoking. Only service dogs with proper documentation are permitted - no other pets are allowed on the premises. Parties and events are strictly prohibited at all properties. Quiet hours begin at 11pm per local ordinance and must be observed by all guests. All guests are required to sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking, and check-in instructions will not be provided until this agreement has been signed and returned.

In the southern quarter of Georgia's coast, between Jacksonville FL and Savannah, St. Simon's Island or 'The Island' as locals have it, is an oasis of calm, wide sandy beaches, golf courses and unspoilt habitats. Regularly voted one of America's favorite beach towns, it boasts great restaurants and an easy-living charm. Rent a boat and visit the pristine beaches of Little St. Simon's Island, play in Neptune's park which has a children's playground, a miniature golf course and swimming pool, and explore the many waterways by kayak or canoe.
