A beautifully designed island residence with a private, heated pool, just a short drive or bike ride from the beach and village cafes. It sleeps 8+1. Located in a quiet neighborhood close to the heart of St. Simons, the vibe is laid-back and leafy with Southern oaks and palms providing families with plenty of peace and privacy. With a bunk room sleeping up to 4 kids, and 2 luxurious kingsize bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, there’s more than enough space for 1 large family or 2 family groups. Parents can properly relax while the kids play in the fully fenced backyard and the pool side has umbrellas, sunbeds and a shaded deck from which to keep an eye on any water fun. A screened porch with a sofa, swing seat and alfresco dining provides further space to enjoy a morning coffee, some evening drinks, or a BBQ feast cooked on the outdoor grill. Inside, there is an open plan living/dining room ideal for family gatherings and game or movie nights. For those keen on cycling, bikes are provided making exploring the island a breeze.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will love the nautical themed bedrooms and relaxed, beachy vibe here. There’s plenty on offer to entertain and cater for all ages with toys, books, a pack’n’play, a highchair, plastic plates, sippy cups, utensils and a travel crib provided. The pool is heated so even the littlest ones can enjoy some splash time and there’s an outdoor grill for rustling up a post-swim BBQ. The kid’s bunkroom provides sleepover style fun with 2 bunk beds sleeping up to 4 and space to play. Each bunk has a reading light so children can catch up on a bedtime book without disturbing each other. For teens wanting to explore, there are bikes provided or for family groups with younger ones, golf carts can be hired locally for the short drive to the beaches. Several have kid-friendly tidal pools ideal for those who enjoy a splash around. Local playgrounds, pools, cafes, and the local pier and lighthouse are all just 5 minutes’ drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. The residence has 2 floors and no elevator. Stair gates can be provided on request. The minimum age for reservations is 25. Entry to the residence is via an electric keypad; the code is changed with every new stay. There is high speed WIFI throughout the property and a work space. There is parking for up to 5 cars in front and at the side of the house. The pool is heated for all guests as a courtesy; there is no pool fence so younger ones should be supervised around the pool area. The hosts can arrange a pre-arrival fridge stock prior to arrival on request; they can also provide details of local babysitters if needed. Please note that this property does not accept pets and is non-smoking. Check in: 4pm; Check out: 10am

About the Location

The residence is located in the heart of St. Simons Island, a beautiful beach town off the coast of Georgia known for its whimsical moss-clad oak trees and Southern charm. The house is in a quiet neighborhood a 10 minute walk from the restaurants, cafes, boutiques and grocery stores of the village hub. It’s a 5 minute drive in a car or golf cart to most of the island’s beaches and attractions. Kayak hire and horse-riding can be arranged locally, and for golf enthusiasts there are several courses within easy reach. The closest airport is Brunswick Golden isles, 20 minutes’ drive away. Savannah/Hilton Head international and Jacksonville airports are both just over an hour’s drive.

Accommodation Details

The residence has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms over 2 floors. The main living area combines an open plan kitchen/diner and living room. The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer, a Ninja barista drip coffee maker, dishwasher and 2 sets of dinnerware for dining inside or alfresco. The granite kitchen island has breakfast bar seating for 3, with a large dining table behind seating a further 6. The living area occupies the other half of the space and has a large corner sofa, games, books, and a TV over the fireplace. The primary bedroom is situated on this floor with a kingsize bed, a large closet, a smart TV and a spacious ensuite with walk-in shower. There is a separate powder bathroom for added convenience. Upstairs is a second kingsize bedroom with a large closet and a smart ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and integrated shower. This bathroom can be accessed from the hallway, doubling as a family bathroom when required. The kids’ bunkroom is on this floor with 2 bunk beds sleeping up to 4. Outside spaced comprises of a screened front porch which doubles as an alfresco sitting/dining room with sofa set, swing chair and dining table seating 4. The backyard has a heated swimming pool with sun loungers, umbrellas, an outdoor grill and covered areas with further seating.

Whitewashed timber, stainless steel appliances and crisp white walls are paired with decadent natural granites and marbles in the kitchen and bathrooms. A calming coastal palette is used throughout, complimented by handpicked textiles and artworks which add pops of color and warmth. We love the cozy hangout spaces, from the light and airy living room to the beautiful, screened porch with swing chair and sofas, perfect for enjoying a peaceful moment amongst the charming moss-covered oaks.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
